It's nice that, even though these new zones are designed wif dergoflapping in mind, they still leave pathways for most things on ground. They put in a lot of work that most players (but not you!) Wouldn't even notice existed. I respect that

I'm so so impressed by your climbing skills, seriously, I'd have just given up at that pipes quest. I'm enjoying this video immensely so far, just like the first one. Kudos from a new subscriber!

This is something I wondered about, having started on day one of vanilla way back when. I certainly no longer have the patience, or skills for that matter (I'm old) to try this myself, but luckily the algorithm suggested a kick arse video to do it for me. Loved every minute!! Nicely done 👍

I loved both of these videos, and I find your analysis of zone designs really interesting! It's a nice perspective to see now that flying is so integral to the way many people play. I'll keep an eye on your work, thank you for these cool videos! :D

Love this video! and *thank you* for mentioning the poor copy of Suramar that the City of Threads ending up being - Suramar was also time gated so you couldn't blast through, and the narrow streets and constant demons and guards really worked. This bug city is nothing like Suramar to me!

I really enjoyed your dragon-no-flight video so when this popped up on my homepage imagine my excitement! I love the way you pace and edit these videos cutting to the notable moments of your flightless journey. You have an incredibly relaxing voice which makes your videos perfect to have on a second monitor while farming. Please keep making videos as I think you have a real nack for it.

I was longing forward to this video so much! You make such amazing videos and I love the vibe you bring to them. It's very cozy and analytical at the same time. Thank you for making this video. Also I love the cat on the bottom left.

I remember trying to navigate Dragonflight on my ground mount and really appreciating all the little touches in the zones. I only got stuck on that bridge to Thaldraszus. These zones were a bit trickier for me, especially since one zone transition is literally "jump down this massive chasm to the next one." Hadn't tried going for Sojourner achievements though!

This was really interesting. I like your approach to the game; it seems very relaxed and curious! The editing is great (music and clips all). I imagine it can't have been easy trimming your footage down to this. I was so excited to see you patch all those pipes, it was really well done xD This video surprised me in the sense that Blizz seems to have planned ground travel options quite well, which I didn't expect at all! Such as the ride to the Priory, and the lifts in Azj-Kahet. Also, the way you said "LLLAAAAME" made me laugh 😂 You make a good point about the City too, how it could've been planned in a more... arachnid way. Good video, thanks!

@LobsterFusionАй бұрын
I love these videos. I prefer being grounded myself as the zones have way more grandeur when seen from below it all. You have more patience than I do though. I did rely on flying for some of the truly pain in the butt parts.
@luluehayesАй бұрын
For me the war within zones are really nice to travel for me, the dragon flight zones had too many things to fly around and account for, and difficulty in travleing is the main reason i didnt stay subbed for much of DF. Its interesting to see the pov of someone whos very skilled with platforming and traveling though!

said "oooh" when i saw this pop up really enjoyed this video too, and yay bgm :) one thing about flying in azj-kahet i noticed is those webs that dismount you. they really annoy me because i am not used to looking out for them so i always hit them and get dismounted. and im not the best at dragonriding either (because i didnt really play much in dragonflight), so i usually end up with low or no stamina and have to run on the ground for a bit after.

this mirrors my thoughts on the new zones too, visually theyre very nice but far too horizontal given that theyre big caves, theres a lot you can do with that concept and we only really get one flavor of it with hallowfall
@ElementroarАй бұрын
I honestly kinda wish there were areas that prevented flying just so there would be more appreciation for all the detail on the ground instead of zooming over them. Like I spent time in Hallowfall on my ground mount because I wanted to see the NPC houses which had surprising details in them. When in spider city, I deliberately only use ground mounts except for flying in because then there would be suspense and it feels more 'right' that our character doesn't want to draw attention to themselves TOO much (pheromones or not) by flying around.

Heck yea more walking! But seriously, I think the experience of being forced to walk everywhere helps players feel more connected to a zone. Dragonflight and TWW felt odd to me, and I realized it’s because I didn’t feel any real connection to the zones. So I forced myself to play them with little/no flying, and suddenly I loved them!

I've been trying to do the same thing this expansion, and I've loved having a more grounded view of the world that I can enjoy up close. Unfortunately, I chose perhaps the least mobile class in the game, a DK for m leveling which made it much more difficult.

I wish Khaz Algar had flight hazards, like the Djaradin areas in the Dragon Isles or like Mechagon. The closest thing in Khaz Algar is the Nerubian air mines that dismount you when hit. If there was more things like that, the new zones would be much more interesting to fly around in.
