Your repeated saying of “Holy C..p!” is THE most often first reaction to The Warning and Choke! All three sisters were classically trained as very young children. All can play piano, write and compose songs. All can sing and can take turns singing lead. That slow and gentle part of the song that you said, “I like this part”, live on stage, the youngest sister bassist Ale sings that part. It sends shivers to fans. While eldest Dany has a powerful voice, Ale has a velvety voice that always elicits a response from fans. Nothing will prepare you when the middle sister, the drummer Pau (POW) sings lead.

Dust to Dust, Ugh, Disciple, Evolve, Survive, Hell You Call a Dream are good ones to start with. The first 5 are good to watch from the Full Concert Live at "Teatro Metropólitan" (CDMX) video. That is an amazing concert. Best sound quality I have ever heard from a live show. All of the songs are available as separate videos or the whole show. But seriously, You won't find a bad song from The Warning. They are incapable of writing bad songs. I have only been listening to them for 77 days but they are my favorite band of all time already. This coming from a die-hard Metallica fan since 1986.

You're about to hear a lot about "the rabbit hole", "every new song is now my favorite", "live is their superpower" ... and all of it is true. To put it simply, they almost never compose a bad song and are a very young, straightforward, no nonsense rock band. The quality way they compose songs I like to describe them as The Beatles played really really hard. Live is where they really excel, to the extreme. I've been a live audio engineer for 30 years, and these ladies are the real deal and something I have been waiting 20 years to hear. For live you can check out anything from the Teatro Metropolitan concert which is on their YT channel. Either separate songs or the entire concert. BTW you don't have to worry about copyright issues from any video from their channel. You are about to get comment bombed by their following ... no doubt. Some of the nicest people on the internet, you will find. I am sure you'll get a ton of suggestions. The Warning has a ton of great songs, much more than most bands these days. Even the songs they wrote when they were children are good and remain in their live repertoire.

And there is not a bad song in their entire discography. I do not understand why The Warning is not recognized as one of the top rock bands in the world right now. As musicians, The Warning are fairly accomplished. They ALL compose, perform, sing and everything else 😎. The drummer, Pau (sounds like “pow”), was recognized as the 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year, by Drumeo and as the 2023 Up and Coming Drummer of the year by Modern Drummer magazine. This song is great. The Warning is a dish even better served live. This same song live from teatro metropolitan really showcases how good they sound live and the other two sisters contributions vocally. As others have suggested, Evolve live from the MYT VMAs is also must see TV. Also to see where it started 10 years ago as kids, their cover of Enter Sandman. It’s actually a trio of videos to watch to see the evolution. When they were little, the official video with Alesia Cara, and finally the live version from Teatro metropolitan. You’ll be blown away with how they performed the 1:1 cover when they were little that put them on the map to their own spin on it when they are older.

Apparently, that belt in the chorus is super-complicated, because it isn’t just high, but the belt itself has to go through three different layers of the “vocal equipment anatomy”. It starts low in “chest voice”, snakes up through “mixed” and tops at “head voice” - and nailing those switches is apparently very, very challenging.

They have some 60 original songs and no two are exactly the same style. They are Mexican but fluent in English, and all but 3 of their songs are in English. The Choke video is probably the exception to the rule that the best The Warning performances are their live performances whether it is TedEx, MTV VMAs or their own concerts. They are exceptional individually and collectively. However brilliant Dany is as a lead singer, I prefer Pau's voice. Anyone who can lead sing whilst drumming gets my attention, and Pau can do both at the highest level at the same time. Dust to Dust, Evolve (MTV VMAs) or any song from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan CDMX corncert when they were 22, 20 & 17. The other must see is their performances of Enter Sandman when they were aged 9-14 and their re-imagination of the same song in 2021 (live and video versions of the re-imagination are different and both excellent).

I've been loving your reaction compilation videos, so it's nice to see you dive into your own reaction videos. Their live performances (More and Evolve) at the 2023 MTV MVAs have some excellent reaction videos. Their studio songs (and official videos) are always excellent, but their love of performing makes their live performances so much more impactful. Welcome to your new obsession. Don't mind us, The Warning Army, we'll behave as we invade your comments. I like to compare The Warning to Rush: similar full sounds, stage layout is similar, the one area where The Warning may outshine Rush is in the varied vocals. Dany (lead guitar) is the principal lead singer, but Pau (drummer) has a number of songs where she is either co-lead or lead all while playing drums. They have beautiful, distinctive, and amazingly clear vocals. A treat for the ears at all times. For a live performance, the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico (CDMX) show in 2022 is pretty much the gold standard for their live performances, but they did a few songs unplugged and "stripped way back" in the UK this summer as part of SoFar Sounds in support of their new album, Keep Me Fed.

As someone who has been listening to rock ever since I got my first Beatles 45 back in the mid sixties, these young ladies are a breath of fresh air. Now we, metaphorically speaking, had a good run up into the eighties, then it started to wane. Of course, there was disco, 🤮, in the late seventies, but rock bands still prevailed. You had punk in there too, some was okay. Then came glam, hair in the late seventies/early eighties, and grunge came on in the nineties. There was a few bands that kinda held the torch, but groups from my teen years broke up, band members died off, got fired, or moved on. Early, two thousands had some groups that did well but not like decades earlier. These young ladies, well girls at the time, blew up with their cover of "Enter Sandman" in 2014. At the time, they were 14, 12, and 9. There are dozens of videos of them doing covers. Then you get into their original stuff. One of my favorites is "XXI Century Blood" the title track from the album of the same name. That came out about 7 or 8 years ago.

Yeah, about that chorus: Pau, who does a lot of the songwriting, wanted to change the chorus to lower that high note, but Dany insisted on practicing and training until she could nail it every time. And just to be clear, The Warning is as fierce a band as The Warning Army is a fandom. One of their celebrity fans, Lzzy Hale of Halestorm, has said that she’s never seen a band attack the audience the way they do. But off stage, Dany, Pau, and Ale are three of the sweetest young ladies you’ll ever encounter. Watch their VLogs and “Aftermovies” and you’ll see the real Villarreal sisters. I highly recommend watching the MTV VMA performances of “More” and “Evolve,” and then the Aftermovie for the VMAs. Everyone in TWA will tell you that the centerpiece of The Warning’s KZbin library, and required watching for new fans, is the 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert. And yes, I would highly recommend it. But as someone who only recently discovered The Warning myself (about 3 months ago) I would also tell you not to overlook their early work. Their first album, “XXI Century Blood,” is as good a debut album as I’ve heard from anyone, and they were only 17, 15, and 12 when they released it. “Queen of the Murder Scene,” released only a year and a half later, is a full-on concept album, and a masterpiece. You’ll only get a handful of songs from those first two albums at the 2022 concert, and the ones you get from QOTMS will be without context and out of order, so you’ll miss a lot of their meaning.

Nice Reaction! These young ladies have been involved in music in some way since they were kids. They all play piano, sing and have been writing their own songs since around 2014. It was in 2014 when they did a cover of Enter Sandman that they first got noticed big time (25M views). From that they got noticed by The Ellen Show and Ellen got Target to pay for them to go to Berklee College of Music in Boston, but Pau (drums) and Ale (bass) were too young, so they did a show at their school (Liceo de Monterrey) to show to Berklee and they were let in based on their skill level. This was in 2015 and they were 15, 13 and 10 yrs. old.

So, by now you've caught the first glimmer of The Warning Army (TWA), the best, most loyal, most vocal fan base. There's a couple of points I'll reiterate, assuming they've already been made. One: The Warning are one of those rare bands that are even better live than they are in their, admittedly wonderful, OMV's. Two, and you'll hear this repeated frequently, your favourite The Warning song is the one you just heard. Any/every song from their live concert at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City (CDMX) from August '22 will blow you away.

Along with the 2022 concert many have recommended, it's also fascinating to watch their three-song set from a 2017 TEDx appearance they did as young teens. The third song in that set, "Survive," is a fan favorite they still perform today.

Almost every person who knows The Warning for the first time is blown away by these awesome very talented Ladies, welcome!!!... Now, for songs before the last album named "Keep Me Fed" which marks a milestone in their evolution, any song from the Teatro Metropolitan Concert CDMX will do, and they excel when playing live, even better than in the studio. For KMF songs they have one live version of "Automatic Sun" and "Hell You Call a Dream" in VEVO and also their official music videos for "More", "Six Feet Deep" and "Que Más Quieres" which are great. Now, if you want to know them better, you have to go back and look at them in their home studio playing a cover of Enter Sandman, which went viral and jump started their career, then I would reccomend their two TED Talks, the two Allison Hagendorf interviews and the six episodes of Mayday in the Making, so you get a good idea of what drives Dany (guitar), Pau (drums) and Ale (bass) as well as the type of down to earth, sweet but strong persons they are. These Ladies are freaking awesome on-stage and off-stage. Aside from that there are literally tons of lives, interviews, aftermovies, and official lyric videos in their YT channel. This rabbit hole is DEEP! 🤘🤘

Hi Momma, Thanks to another reactor that I’m in her Patreon, Tee Spicer, I was introduced to The Warning. I introduced her to Tori last year in the holiday season. I made her cry, she made me rediscover Rock ‘n Roll. I recently bought their Keep Me Fed album as a picture disk. My first picture disk in decades! While I can still play my vinyl, I never play a picture disk. But having it is everything. I love the album and thanks to Tee’s live streams I’ve learned a lot about The Warning. I’ve been Warned! Holy Crap! Is the right reaction. When I learned Paulina is a drummer who sings, hell yeah! Being a Karen lifelong fan, hell yeah! Im sure you’re inundated with recommendations, my current fave is Sharks from KMF. There were two live shows just weeks ago. One in Germany and the other in Poland. OMG the crowds and while it was a festival, they were ALL into The Warning. Amazing shows but I think the videos were taken down. In my time I would say my taste ranged from Carpenters to The Clash and that’s just the letter C. Now it’s Tori to The Warning. History is repeating itself, sort of. I can see TW is getting the views big time. They will help you grow. Now, I’m not a fan but Angelina Jordan can rake in the views, just not from me. That’s a story and I’ve gone on long enough. You Have Been WARNED!!! The Future Of ROCK from Monterrey Mexico, The Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela "Dany" (guitar, lead and backing vocals, piano) The Lightning riff maker. Paulina "Pau" (drums, lead and backing vocals, piano, and also songwriter for the band) Drum Bombardment from the heavens (Huge Pau Fan here). Pau won the Drumeo 2023 Rock Drummer of the Year award. The hosts said that she "dominated" the voting of "a hard category to win". Alejandra "Ale" (bass guitar, piano, backing vocals) Thunder Goddess. She plays a signature Spector 5 string that she helped design, it's called Ale's Inferno. She also has a blue signature Spector 5-string...fire and ice. Ale's been playing Spector since age 13, and signed with Spector at 15. The Villarreal Vélez sisters were raised in Monterrey, and all received training on various instruments at an early age. At some point in their childhood, Daniela and Paulina had selected guitar and drums as their primary instruments, respectively. When the youngest of the three, Alejandra, selected bass guitar as her primary instrument at about age 7, the sisters decided to form a rock power trio in 2013. They learned to play rock songs, often via the Rock Band video game series, and posted videos of their performances to KZbin. In 2014, 12-year-old Paulina was profiled in the women's drumming publication Tom Tom Magazine. The band first gained widespread notice later in 2014 when, at ages 9 through 14, their KZbin video in which they performed Metallica's "Enter Sandman" went viral among rock music fans, eventually earning more than 20 million views. The video received attention from Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett, who offered particular praise for Paulina, saying, "The drummer kicks maximum ass!"
