More sounds deceptively light and poppish--- until you listen to the instrumental version alone without vocals, then it does sound like hard rock. A good way to judge theirt songs is to listen to instrumental versions of their sonds. You would be surprised how sophisticated they are.

To watch Paulina the drummer shine while singing, chose their song called "23" where Paulina sings lead while drumming at the same time. Please chose the live version at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX August 2022.

Old guy here who attended concerts like Zeppelin back in the 70s. I absolutely love this band. They have a lot of good songs even though still relatively young. There are a few songs where it is hard to make out all of the lyrics, but that's like a lot of bands live. It helps if you've heard the song a hundred times like most of us have. They're 24/22/19 now and I believe that they'll just keep getting better and better. If you liked "Evolve" from the VMA, the you'd probably like "Dull Knives" from this same Teatro concert. Actually, this entire concert is wonderful. Has a couple of ballads as well.

This entire Teatro Metropolitan concert is amazing. I guess I can understand you thoughts on the lyrics, but I don't have any issues understanding them. As for musicians, I feel they are great. I like their older stuff like Disciple a bit more than some of the more mainstream type songs they have released, but I think they are all very good. I think their song structure is typically very well constructed. Their lyrics (particularly in the older catalog) are usually very thought provoking. Given the fact that the drummer (Pau) is usually their main lyricist and source for new ideas, I find that interesting. I also like that they have been performing at a very high level for over a decade (started when they were like 9, 11, and 13) and are amazing live. I appreciate the fact that they are true rock and roll and have fought against playing up their 'beautiful women / young women" image for quick success and instant recognition. They are about the music.

Dust to Dust, 23 and Narcisista are the songs where the drummer is the lead singer. I love your honesty and we're kinda on the same page, I didn't like More that much either and Disciple is good but far from my favorite song of the ban. UHG, Dust to Dust, and Z are my top 3 songs of this band, absolute masterpieces!

*Disciple* *Disciple* is one of their songs about social media and how it affects people in ways they don't even know... Dany (guitar) sings the part of the "leader"... Pau (drums) sings the part of a "follower", "disciple", or maybe "soldier"... basically they're speaking about how people take what they see on social media and believe it, whatever it is... in this way, certain groups out there control the narrative and what is happening... i believe this is a cynical song telling people to think for themselves and not believe everything they see or hear... the OMV for *Disciple* was shot during the pandemic, all the extras in the video are IRL The Warning Army members... the wearing of the various masks works for the video as well as acknowledging the pandemic being a thing at the time of recording the video... there is the dichotomy of the masks, themselves... the "disciples/soldiers" wearing just cloth mouth and nose masks while the higher ranked overseers are wearing full face filter masks... and then we have DPA/TW playing the upper echelon, the untouchables, with no masks at all... this ranked depiction of status makes a huge statement about social media in addition to what is already being said in the song... *XXI Century Blood* , *Z* , and *Kool-Aid Kids* are three other original DPA/TW songs that also speak about social media... the 1st one, XXICB, has an OMV that tells a story... it and the director were nominated for (and won?) several awards when it was released in 2017 when Dany was 17, Pau was 15, and Ale was 12 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

Their original "cover" of "Enter Sandman" from about 10 years ago up to their "reimagined" version from 2022 at Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico to some of their other covers and original music they are amazing. Their song XXI Century Blood, from the record of the same name, is another good one. Great video too!

they remind me of 80's Cheap Trick, The Cars, and a bit of the Police...all combined together. Their newest single is a good one. The issue with three-member bands is that there isn't a lot of room to hide, so mistakes are a bit more accentuated and if you are playing live and not Memorex, you're going to make mistakes...I like bands that aren't afraid to make a mistake and still carry on with the confidence to perform, it gives a flavor to the show that no other show can match and cements the moment into being unique.

The lyrics on this song come off a little clearer on the official video for this song - consider that this is a live recording without all the mixing afterwards - you liked their song "Evolve" on the MTV awards - of course English is my first language and I have no trouble at all understanding the words to this song, but that's just me, as you said

I'm in my 70's. I've been listening to rock music since the days of Elvis, Buddy Holly and the Beatles. I just discovered The Warning a few months ago. In my experience it's often difficult to understand the words of rock bands, especially when you see the band live in concert. So I guess I'm used to not always understanding the words. That's why, we would buy a record album and hope that there was somewhere on the album cover or a sleeve insert with the lyrics printed. In those days there were no cell phones or internet where one could quickly look up the lyrics. I'll bet there are some old time bands with classic songs that I still might get some lyrics wrong. In the case of The Warning, in most of their live performances their fans are singing their songs right along with the band. But who knows how many times they've heard the songs. They are true fans.

Hey, Rebeka... How are you doing? I'm glad you enjoyed the song overall. If you will, I'd like to offer some insight into one of the things you found somewhat annoying, though, in regard to Dany's vocal runs. When I first heard Disciple I found that run a bit odd as well, but as I kept listening to their songs I realized Dany is perfectly capable of belting with the best of them, without ever sounding like she's forcing anything. What gives, then? Well, I eventually noticed she sometimes makes deliberate choices regarding notes and/or vowels that are unusual, possibly to bring attention to and match the meaning/feeling of the lyrics. If you read them ("Your eyes will bleed as you stare at the screen"), it's a if she's trying to impart on the listener the sensation of having their eyes bleeding/pierced - and the choice of the vowel (that sustained, piercing "ee" which most singers will do anything to avoid) gives it an extra "shriek" quality. So, yeah, appreciating the resulting dissonance can be an acquired taste, but I think it adds an interesting personality to her vocals. Maybe you're particularly sensitive to dissonant sounds (since what seems to have annoyed you most when you listened to "More" was the quite dissonant chorus with the harmonies and the guitar), and that's alright. I'm still confident you'll find plenty of material to love in their catalogue. ;) Cheers!

Pau has lead vocal responsibility on songs: "23", "Dust to Dust"; "Revenant", and "Narcicista" all at the same concert. There are other shows where she leads on additional songs. In a normal worldm song "23" would easily be a top 10 hit.

You are one of the few folks that doesn't "get" them. If you were, you would love most everything. They have a hook and that is 80s and early 90s rock sound yet modern. Ironically, this is one of the most requested sound to react to. No offense intended. Just sayin.

@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusicNot sure what "words" your are referring to but all I said was that you don't "get" them. I even said "no offense". Also you lead off with "listen". That is condescending. Either way, you should understand something about this band. They have a massive following and are not like other bands. They have a hook that most bands don't have. With this band and it's followers, The Warning was heard once and that was all it took and usually didn't matter which track was heard first.

I enjoyed your honest critique. Here is why you might have trouble understanding their lyrics. None of the lyrics are predictable or ordinary. They tell a complex story and speak in the voice of people online who are trying to manipulate us. Here's the first couple stanzas. Even when I hear the words, I have to think my way through them or they don't make much sense. lol The sun is your enemy today Have you heard the news that the world isn't ending? It's starting again But all the nonbelievers they keep on pretending The sun is your enemy today You love to look away from the face of your vices Embrace them instead And welcome yourself into the new modern crisis Check out the rest of the lyrics. When your read the final lines, you'll realize why the song ends so abruptly.

You don’t judge a band by a couple of songs. You judge them by their total TALENT! Well what can I expect from someone that thinks that Miley Cyrus is her favorite artist. I expected that you would like The Warning as they bring this old classic Rock that has been missing for decades. As far as understanding every lyric from a song the first time you hear it, it’s impossible, sometimes you need to listen to a song more than once before you understand it and know what it’s about, but that’s my opinion and I will always be honest when I give my opinion.

I know two or the songs u have from the album I know you really like live performances but I thought I really new Led Zeppelin and this is a for sided album with lots of songs I never heard of. I'm a hardcore fan of these ladies, so I am a bit biased. I understand they are not for everyone, as I feel the same way about many other bands out there, that people go crazy for, and I just don't see why. If you have only heard 3 of their songs with Evolve being the one you liked, they have many styles of music they have made over the last 10 years that might suit your tastes better. They was children when they started, and now the oldest is 24, and the youngest just 19. They have evolved in front of us, and we have supported them as they grow as people and artists. Disciple is off their first signed LP ERROR, but is their 3rd full LP. I have watched many of your reactions, and I feel that their earlier content is more your speed. Their is another 26 songs on two previous LP's to check out, and I am certain many of them will please you, but if not, and you have made up your mind about them, I get that too. Appreciate your subscriber requesting this one, and you following thru with it. 🤘

You would be hard pressed to find singers that are more precise in their enunciation of words. Everything is crisp. If you put your attention on they lyrics they're easy to understand. They're also incredibly interesting, since this song is, as many of theirs are, a warning. I suspect the audio mix of a live performance doesn't isolate the singers the way a typical studio mix does.

Actually, Daniela wasn't straining her voice. If she had, she would have been struggled to finish the concert as this song was in the first half of the concert. She has a powerful voice and a wide range.

Force vocal? Dany? I don’t think I’ve ever heard anybody say that before, in this song or any song. She has the most relaxed production I’ve seen, and the fact that she has a ton of power is due to the extensive vocal training and experience. Most fans consider this one of their greatest songs in this live version, but that’s fans of course lol 😊 Other than that, totally respect your opinion and honesty. Just the criticism of Dany’s (guitarist) vocal production during the chorus that I don’t hear. She has a huge voice…. And if anything I would say that her tone is more relaxed than Pau’s (drummer), although they both have their distinctive vocal timber. Love that you keep returning to my favourite rock group of present day! The greatest thing about music is that everybody has their taste and what one loves doesn’t need justification… It’s art and emotion and can be entirely subjective… no explanation needed. Keep up the great work!

Interesting reaction. I really like the honesty. Sometimes I feel like fans don't allow themselves to like some songs and not others as they like the band itself so much. While I would agree with the oft-said saying that The Warning just don't write any bad songs, they're not all equal and absolutely people will have ones they like more than others. I found it also interesting that it was in not understanding the live lyrics that you felt you couldn't really enjoy the song. I'm someone who almost never understands lyrics for like, anything, and I always have to look them up. The Warning do such incredibly good enunciation however that I often can get 80% of the lyrics on the first or second listen. So yeah, that is interesting that in this sense we have opposite experiences with the same input.

@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic Hmm, misunderstanding I think: I think you were saying that it was hard to enjoy because you couldn't understand the lyrics? I just find that really interesting because I'm like always in that boat so I have to imagine how that would be frustrating if you were used to understanding lyrics. I'm siding with you, not trying to say you don't like the voice.

They have a formidable innate talent, each one of them. Innate but with practice taken to the sublime. Despite their youth, they already have a lot of experience along the way in addition to their great preparation since they were little girls. Their attitude, discipline and willingness to achieve their goals are leading them to great and well-deserved achievements. Daniela, Paulina and Alejandra are still on the path to the top, but with too much potential, enough to think that reaching it will be inevitable. Furthermore, the volume of quality that each of their creations implies is great… and the number of songs that carry said quality is enormous, which for me could be “The Warning label.” I’m sure that each of their creations is subjected to a meticulous quality process before finally seeing the light… And not only in the technical aspect, but they have also already shown that they have an exquisite taste for the good music that emanates from them when they become inspired and creative. Added to all this is that they are surrounded by an excellent family and a fraternal team totally committed to their project... And they have a fan base, “The Warning Army”, tremendously loyal to them (and exponentially growing too) that is decisively involved in supporting them because they have deservedly earned it for being incredible and surprising human beings. Knowing this will give you a much better perspective to better value DPA, and maybe you will understand that TW is not just a band of talented young women who make good songs... No, it’s about music, really about art with the brilliance of a "masterpiece" created and performed by three genius female performers from an early age who have been developing and evolving by leaps and bounds. The beauty of their art lies in its simplicity. Allways everybody have to appreciate each of these amazing rock masterpieces in all their dimensions and then be surprised again that they are creations of those who have wonderful talent but who, due to their age, still have much more talent to develop. Dany, Pau & Ale are already admirable but their potential increases exponentially as they achieve success. As long as all this continues to flow with this equation, soon they will reach the top of the world where they deserve to be. I hope to see many reactions from you to TW my favorite band of all time. Thanks and regards!! 🤘😁✌️

Understanding them…. they speak with a perfect North American accent. If I met them on the street I’d never know they were Spanish speakers. Dany maybe a little. I’d think she had a regional accent before Spanish. So I have no trouble understanding them. They sound like the girls next door to me.

Check out Animosity, Amour, or Z. If you like the drummer singing more check out Dust to Dust, 23, or Survive. Also for live performances it will be hard to understand any band. Lyrics should be by your side to understand the song. Also to give some insight Dany was singing her out in this 2 hour show and she's playing guitar so you have to give a little Slack on the parts where it seems like she's overcompensating. Probably just tired at that point. She's getting better and better too! These ladies ARE the future and can't wait to hear what else they got. Keep rockin 🤟🏽

I knew by the stink face on your thumbnail that this song wasn’t of your liking. Perfectly ok not to like something, after all you’re more than entitled to your own opinion, but I suggest not to make it so obvious, as the stink face showed your feelings for the song without the need to watch your video. I’m a 60yr old studio musician who’s almost deaf from loud ass monitors blasting in my ears and I can understand them. Clean your ears out and turn your volume down. Second, this is hard rock, you will always hear voices that are pushed hard and on the ragged edge, that’s the nature of the genre. Dany’s voice is naturally like that, very strong and sometimes sounds pushed, you can hear her outside of music in her vlogs and interviews. Another reactor was saying something similar about Pau, that her voice was being pushed to the point of raspiness. When Pau speaks her voice is naturally hoarse and raspy. Both voices are perfect for hard rock

They are good just not great yet and we don't know if they will get there, numbers and stats indicate they are strugling to reach the masses and I will add they still need serious help with backing tracks when playing live ( I get it others use backing tracks but when you hear 4 vocals and 6 instruments comingfrom a 3 piece band something is wrong). I can pull up the likes of Halestorm and Daughtry and they are not at the top of the food chain but a place where these lasies would love to make it to, Halestorm has videos, many with 10M plus views (Halestorms has 1 with 95M views) and Daughtry with several over 100M views. The Warning has 1 over &M and thats the original Metalica cover from 9 years ago. They have a ways to go.
