I have to admit, I am not a Metallica fan, and I was sick of this song, until this version came along. A lullaby where Alessia very sweetly puts you to bed, then Dany rouses the troops, shares a little prayer, the angel chorus comes to sing you to sleep, then Boom, the hammer drops. I think of this very much as the female version of the Sandman tale told as a dark lullaby. So good. Delicate, powerful, soothing, strong, gentle, fierce-all at the same time. I love this one. Then you add a string section for the live performance? Oh, yeah. For those of us 8000 at Pepsi Center for this performance, it was amazing to watch.

That's all ok!!! The beauty about this music experience is to listen and enjoy the bands and we all have different tastes in music which going through something like this and exploring new music really can bring some kind of common tastes together!. I liked how they slowed down and the orchestra was excellent touch! It remained me for Metallica with Symphony concert! Thank you so much for watching!

So in March 2021 Alessia Car was asked to do a cover of ES for the Metallica Blacklist album, a tribute to the 30th anniversary of the Black album. Because Alessia is a pop singer and has the same management team as The Warning, TW was invited to participate. In 10 days TW and Alessia rearranged the song and recorded/mixed/mastered it. Then in September 2021 the song was released and TW did a MV for it. In both cases Alessia did her part via zoom since she was in Canada and TW was in Mexico. After the release, TW started to play it live in concert. In May of 2022 TW and Alessia performed the song their one and only time. In 2023 their manager Rudy had the idea to add a string section. He recruited string players from a music school in Monterrey. The whole project has been very good for TW.

I've seen Metallica play the song several times, including the Black album tour, and I love this reimagined version. Done for the Blacklist album, 30th anniversary of the Black album. Metallica told them to rearrange it. Said they didn't care if it was turned upside down or played backwards, just don't change the lyrics. I would say The Warning and Alessia , aced that assignment. The Warning played it live at the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 2022 show, but that didn't have the string section. First time I heard this , was kind of hoping the strings broke into Ecstasy of Gold before TW came in. The white Gibson Explorer Dany is playing , is the one gifted to her by Lzzy Hale. Please do eventually check out their straight cover of Enter Sandman from 10 years ago, at ages 14 12 and 9.

If you look really hard, you can find fan-cam of the concert where Lzzy comes out on stage and hands it to her. At first Dany thought Lzzy was just loaning her a guitar for one performance, but afterwards Lzzy told her it was a gift to her.

The live performance was at their 10 year anniversary concert at the Pepsi Center Monterrey MX. Hence the string section (that appear a couple of times throughout the night), the extra parts to the stage out front, and the great light show that was put on

Of the many covers I've heard, through the years, this ranks up high in the top 5. As amazing as the cover is, though, The Warning are far from being a cover band, with over 60 original songs in their discography. Totally amazing artists. Like, Subscribe and all the stuff!

Fantastic choices my friend! Great reaction. S&M nod for sure I think. Can’t go wrong with strings & rock. Hopefully TW will symphonize more of their songs in the future (check out “Black Holes” from this same concert). Metallica invited people from all genres to submit versions of Metallica songs (versions, not covers) for inclusion on The 30th anniversary “Metallica Blacklist” charity album. Where to go next? Easiest is just go right down the list of this Pepsi Center concert. Only a couple are from the newest album but there are OMVs, MTV & vevo lives for more of those.

I love The Warnings arrangement of this classic, breathing new life into it. Must be honest that I prefer the Teatro Metro version better, without the strings, but it is much better than I expected after seeing the fan-cam that I saw from the Pepsi Centre concert

Pre-emptive congrats on 1000 subs! Rolled up on that pretty quickly once you really got going! I would imagine it's a combination of picking a good variety of awesome bands, checking out multiple songs for each, the twice watch through / mv then live format which works well, pretty decent video and audio quality, a roughly twice a day reaction schedule (might be hard to keep it up!), pausing enough but not to much to break the flow, but more than anything having really enjoyable to watch authentic emotional reactions to the songs that show you are clearly having a lot of fun. Of the bands I know are on the list, you already mentioned getting to Babymetal soon. That's a good move as they have a really big reaction channel fan base. Electric Callboy is also on your list (I think) and they also have a large reactor channel fanbase and have hilarious mvs as well. Please keep getting to the lesser know bands as well of course (like Broken By The Scream ;) but the bigger ones like Babymetal and Electric Callboy, plus more Band-Maid, LOVEBITES, Hanabie, The Warning etc should help with the channel growth. And The bigger it gets for you the more ongoing reactions there will be for us, to both the big and small bands! Edit, oh and Jinjer might well be one of the big channel growers as well, possibly.

On weekends it's little easier for me to post little more often but I also want to make sure I give each room to breathe and I really enjoy talking about it in comments afterwards with everyone else.
