It took them a lot longer than it should have. There were a number of issues from what I could tell.

Yet there was an unacceptable issue on QOTMS. That's happened twice now in the last few shows. I'm sure the dude is good at his job but Tech needs improvement or more help. Those issues bring the crowd down. Can't have that during the Halestorm tour.

@@1nonlyrawbert , they are vulnerable with heavily relying on computer run and wireless stage setups. A lot of software that can act wierd at the wrong time. It's perfect when it works flawless, but even the smallest hiccup in the systems will have a big impact.

@@westmus its not just this song or a couple of shows. It's been multiple occasions and it looks amateurish. Not on the girls but their team. Other bands on their level or bigger don't have these problems that frequent. They're signed by a big label and are playing on bigger and bigger stages in the coming months. They have the resources and connections to acquire the best team available to maximize show performance and minimize mistakes. I want them to succeed but I feel they're reluctant to seek better professional help outside their family and friends circle. I'm js it's a war out there in the rock world for these ladies. You need everything to go right because people will look for a reason to tune out. I wish the best for them it just frustates me to see them still dealing with this stuff. But I'm still seeing them this summer when they open for Halestorm 🤟🏽

@@1nonlyrawbert ; I do not disagree. The QOTMS problem here was clearly the wireless loosing connection when Dany went across the stage. Hightech gear is cool, but vulnerable for giving unexpected problems. Dany need to put a lot more focus into getting those few solos flawless, she's still to often making big mistakes. It looks to me like she getting to focused on making a show and then get it wrong on the fretboard. She need to reverse that when soloing. Getting the playing right are more important than looking cool.

@@westmus I agree with that. Sometimes it feels like they're still playing in their jam room for family and friends. The more fans they get the more criticism they'll get for this. They do need to mature in their stage performance but can still have fun. I think that will come with age. Hopefully she has people who can give her this constructive criticism and she takes on the challenge. Then down the road she'll be so good that she'll be able to perform like she is now while killing the solos.

Yes, a little long, but this is pretty standard festival line check routine. I just watched Living Colour (yes, LIVING COLOUR) go through the same thing at the MMRB festival last month. They were doing line checks forever, then walked offstage and came back out to play 5 min later. :D This is what usually happens during a regular soundcheck before everyone shows up before a show!

Maybe something with the stage monitors which they don’t really use since they have in ears to monitor what they hear? Or maybe they used the monitors for this gig only? 🤔

I believe they used the monitors this time. They spent a far amount of time switching cables on them after they swapped the bass and guitar amps to opposite sides of the stage from the previous band. Ale stood on the opposite side of the stage than every other bass player that night.

I know they used monitors at another show fairly recently. Might have been the Foo Fighters show, but I’m not sure. I remember them talking about playing with monitors not too long ago.

Those look like their backup axes. Ale had to use that one early in the tour when there were issues with her custom and she used it at Rockville. Dany has a couple of PRS's,this looks like the one she used for the Martirio vid(could be wrong about that.)

Only thing rented are Pau's drums. They were not going to take Pau's kit all the way to Canada for 3 shows... Dany and Ale's gear is theirs and has been used before

I think they sacrificed some of their set to get it right. They might have even gone over time. They didn’t pose for the photo in front of the crowd like they always do. They just rushed off. Pau was only wearing one shoe. I don’t think she had time to slip the other one back on.

I bet Black Stone Cherry wouldn't have minded a bit of delay since they were the last... unless the festival had hard constraints on when the music had to stop.
