Yeah, you got it right on the song meaning. Their lyrics are always thoughtful and well crafted, often multiple meanings and they make you think They care as much for their fans as the fans care about them and treat their fans like family. That's why huge numbers of fans take their vacation and hop on a plane to go see them at numerous stops. Quite unique in today's world.

What I've come to really appreciate about these young ladies over the years is that, yes, the lyrics show a maturity well beyond their years, but, what displays even more artistic genius is that they intentionally write lyrics that are open to interpretation. If you want painfully deep, check out "Black Holes" written by Pau at 13. It makes these old eyes water every time I hear it.

Thanks for reacting. I have been the one harping about reading their lyrics & the band's statement about each song when you review one. Publishing a concept album at 18, 16 & 13 demands that extra effort I guess. Their metaphors, mostly written by Pau, are mindblowing. "Happiness has its price Less isn't more in this business Rapacity will be the illness That we will learn to love" "Go ahead and cry shallow pools of blood Diamond noose at your throat" Who writes those lyrics nowadays? Sad thing is that intellectualism is dead in rock today. That is why experts, radio stations, festivals, TV stations will eulogize gimmicks, solos on guitars & drums (women have to dress in lingerie to sell their music) but not The Warning. You are bang on about their involvement with fans. However there is another thing that attracts us from all over the world. Their authencity. Theur integrity. There is no hiding, no faking with the girls. What you see & hear is what you get.

They debuted this song in front of 50,000+ opening for Foo Fighters in Mexico City 10 days before Taylor Hawkins passed. The official music video is the studio audio with video from that show. There is indeed a connection between the dedicated fans (myself included) and the band. Part of that likely comes from their first two albums being crowd funded, them being very interactive on socials, and all three of them just being good likable people. I feel that they have also tapped into a style and sound of rock that has been missing for me for a long time. The melodic hooks are catchy. Their stage presence is great. They are very skilled musicians. Their lyrics are current and meaningful. What more could you ask for. I traveled more than 3000km each way to go see them in NYC and Philadelphia last week. Even thought about jumping a plane to Europe to see them there as well. Thanks for continuing your journey down The Warning rabbit hole. You have a lot of material in front of you yet. Enjoy!

The last Kickstarter campaign was meant to finance the recording of their latest album and their first American tour. They got around 190 thousand US dollars from that campaign and since the tour was canceled I don't think that LAVA had to add much for their latest record.

Always good to dig into the lyrics for this band. When you do the Queen of the Murder Scene album in its entirety and in order, which is recommended (THE WARNING FULL LUNARIO CONCERT 2018 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4fGmohpnLKAi7s) the lyrics definitely bring the complexity and emotion of the whole story together. Crazy thing is I would consider myself pretty well-versed in the English language after 56 years, but these three ladies from Mexico sparked me to look up the meaning of the word rapacity. As you continue your journey, you'll see they drop other languages into songs like Spanish, Japanese, French, and to top it off Binary. Subscribed to watch your journey.

These girls have always made a point of including their fans in everything they do since they first started. For years now they have had personal interaction on a regular basis online and this is one of the reasons why the fans are so loyal. Not to mention the extreme talent that they display on an individual basis and as a group. Enjoy the journey.

D**n good lyrics, which is true of many of their songs. I love the every single word in the verse that starts with "moral code updates three times a year." Not a bad line in it. Deep!

Cool reaction and pretty good in the interpretation. In the band's words, "The song aims to shine a light on the darkness surrounding widespread corruption and greed, as well as the crippling effects it can have on society. When we allow power and profit to take control over our lives, our natural human tendencies, like feeling empathy and compassion for one another, become lost and forgotten." You're right about the bond between Dany, Pau and Ale and the band's fanbase. They go out of their way to bring the fans into their musical journey. Whether it's through their extremely robust Patreon platform, or their KZbin, Instagram and Twitch accounts, the fans get a daily fix for their craving. Fridays are "Dany Day", Saturdays are "Pau Day" and Sundays are "Ale Day", giving more personal looks into their day, in addition to the 7-day a week updates. Fans get to see the fun side of life and just hang out, for a while. It's amazing to see how quickly they gain new fans, at festivals. It's a well-known fact that if you want The Warning merch, at a show, you need to get it early, because once they play, the line at the merch booth is incredibly long. Rightly so- they always bring their A-game and are always in the list of attendees' favorite performers from the festival. It's going to be an interesting summer, for sure. Last year, The Warning opened for Guns N' Roses, in Mexico. They were apparently snubbed by the G-N-R crew and weren't given but 30 minutes or so to set up and do their soundcheck. After they absolutely rocked the stadium, that same G-N-R crew had nothing but praise for the band. Now, this September, The Warning are billed as special guests on two of Guns N' Roses' tour dates (Knoxville, TN and Hollywood, FL). I've watched recent concert footage from G-N-R and it's going to be interesting to see who the fan favorite will be. Anyhow, I've rambled more than enough. Keep the reactions coming. You'll enjoy the ride. Thanks!!

I bought tickets to see them open for Three Days Grace in Vancouver. I walked right up to the shared merch table, before the show, and bought a The Warning ball cap. The guy selling it seemed surprised by my choice. At the Break, after their set, the lineup was across the lobby. Same after the concert.

When they're just an unknown opening act or playing at festivals, what's really amazing is the audience participation in the "Evolve" clap-along they typically have at the end of their set. The crowd is indifferent when the band first walks on stage, but a half-hour later this happens: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4HEYoyuqJljp7M

The venue indeed makes a difference - they played two separate sets on this night (hence the white and black outfits from the same show) in front of their home country. Ale who is typically more reserved, especially when they first started touring, really comes out of her shell during this show and has since been more upfront and engaged with the crowds. Playing in front of their home country I would imagine would add an additional layer of comfort to their performance. Since then, they have sky rocketed in popularity. I was fortunate enough to see them in 2022 live as a supporting act for Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless with Eva Under Fire. They never disappoint for me. In fact my youngest has fallen in love with them and knows the words to most of their songs already.

I first discovered The Warning back in mid 2015 when they were literally children doing covers and their father was posting videos of them on you tube for friends and family to see the girls progress. I knew right off the bat that there was something special about these three “little girls”. It has been eight years since I saw a video of them doing a cover of Metallicas Enter Sandman and have not missed a single day since in which I have listened to or watched a video of these amazing young sisters. In my 63 plus years of life I have never been so into a band as I am these young ladies. They are simply in a class of their own as no two songs sound alike. They exhibit a very wide range of “styles” in their music, yet at the same time have created a unique and distinct sound that is unmistakably their own. I believe it is impossible for them to produce a bad song. I have seen them live twice now and likely will see them again. The simply are among the best live bands I have ever seen, and I have seen many concerts in my time. They create a wall of sound that absolutely has to be experienced. I have been saying for many years now that they would one day be known world wide and be recognized as one of, if not the greatest power trio of all time. If you continue down this rabbit hole I believe you will agree that they are well on their way to bringing that prediction to fruition. Mark my words, these sisters will without a doubt sell out arenas and stadiums, and not just be invited to participate in, but headline the biggest music festivals the world has to offer. LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS aka THE WARNING!

Another item to illustrate their bonding with fans: during their US headlining tour (fairly small venues), they came up with the idea of an audience member picking a song from a jar. Most of them were songs they have played over the past year, but got displaced from their playlist by newer music. They said that there was one real oldie in there that they hadn't played in years; it (XXI Century Blood) got drawn in the second to the last concert. What's more, they were mostly finding children near the front to pick the songs, and Dany would always ask the person's name. At least their headlining shows were usually all ages, and there were some three generation families in attendance. They've mastered the art of writing catchy songs with interesting and insightful lyrics, and have no need for (and don't rely on) gimmicks. They're superb musicians, and guitarists, bassists, drummers, and singers who review their songs will sometimes stop and point out interesting and difficult things they do, but they don't make it look difficult and the technical skill is in service of the music rather than self-aggrandization. They've been playing together for 10 years -- more than half of Ale's life span to date -- and are best friends as well as sisters. Lzzy Hale found herself so inspired by the band and by Dany in particular that she remarked that she (Lzzy) needs to practice more, and then proceeded to commission a guitar for Dany that she presented to her on stage. Three Days Grace also invited Dany on stage to front Painkiller throughout most of their Canada tour last fall, and also today at a festival in Germany (I'm not sure whether it was that song again). There are those who underestimate Dany because she doesn't play highly technical solos, focusing more on riffs and occasional solos that add to the message of the song (listen to the solos in The End -- which you should do at the culmination of listening to the entire Queen of the Murder Scene album -- and Show Me The Light). But make no mistake, she can let rip when called for. That simply isn't what they're about as a band.

FYI, if you do any warning songs from the queen of the murder scene album keep in mind its a concept album. The lyrics and music will make more sense if you do the songs in order from the album . Dust to dust is the prelude to the album and then it has 3 chapters . A girl struggling with 2 personality s over good and evil and the chapters start with obsession then to murder and ultimately suicide..keep in mind these girls were in there young teens when they came up with this brilliant concept album. The lyrics are deep and dark ,the music is definitely awsome . Im 53 years old and have listened to alot of music lol, and my mind is blown by the warning .the queen of the murder scene album is probably the best thing I've ever listened to and as the story gos on in the album it draws you in more and more . Its Just freaking brilliant !

This song’s lyrics have certainly been influenced by their Catholic upbringing. The worshipping of money being a path towards evil is a theme throughout religions. The wisdom of ages past has not been ignored by these three women. Their songs are very much full of messages of wisdom. The band is asking us questions, and they actually want the audience to think about the messages….think about life and the choices we are facing/making.

It's all about that "Cold Hard Cash Hon"! Their lyrics are typically what they start with when writing a song, and then the music, although that isn't always true of course. Very well read songwriters who craft EVERY note and EVERY word knowing that anything less might not express what they mean fully, not to mention would be considered a bit of a let down by their fanbase, who know how much work The Warning puts into every song.

I put music listeners into 2 categories, passive and active, the passive fan just listens to whatever is on the radio or streams music as background filler and probably does not purchase music or hears a song that he/she likes but does not care to see what band it is or what their lyrics are but the active music fans not only listen to music but purchase tangible media, goes to concerts to support bands they like, and always look up lyrics to songs that they like.....

If you want to look back: in their 2014 Enter Sandman cover they were trying not to screw up. They didn't, but there are some weak moments, especially during the guitar solo. Their cover of Muse's Resistance a few months later is killer all the way through, and a year after that they made a video of Foo Fighters' Pretender which is just plain fierce. Or carry on with their newer stuff at Teatro Metropolitan. Or anything in between, you can't go wrong with this band.
