Long time Metallica fan here, I guess their mistake was asking The Warning to re-imagine Enter Sandman...man did they ever!! Now my favorite version of this Iconic song. Thanks Jone for reading the comments and reacting to this one. Loved this. Cheers and thanks to you.

This spectacular reimagining of "Enter Sandman" is backed by a 10 piece all-female string section comprised of 6 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos from Monterrey, Mexico. The string section plays in The Warning's style. All 3 sisters are classically trained; Ale's a top-tier Jazz Bassist playing Rock. Ale's very important; her insanely resonant 5-string Spector Bass and string section generate Cinematic Orchestral Music and Wall of Sound. Cinematic Orchestral Music, a 'hybrid', involves electronic instruments (synthesizers) and classical instruments (strings), to create the genre's sound. Ale's Bass takes the synthesizers role; her heavy Bass fills the bottom, propels the huge Wall of Sound. Ale seamlessly switches to Melody-line from Bass-line, joins with the strings, augmenting the music as it crescendos, and then Ale switches back to the Bass-line again, as if it's nothing. The string section achieves remarkable unity with DAP (at times the combination generates sounds one normally associates with brass). The Warning sisters are rightfully very proud of their home country and home city and include musicians from their home whenever possible. It's no accident DAP chose an all female string section. The Warning have repeatedly spoken in interviews about how as girls, and then women, they're often not take seriously until they play, and how once they play all that changes. The Warning sisters come across as wonderful people and never beat anyone over the head with their views, they're all about the music, but make no mistake; they've made a statement here about Women in music; whether it be Rock, Classical, Jazz, or Cinematic Orchestral Music by creating this spectacular piece using only female musicians and vocalists.

You can't see it here, but in the full concert video, Dany calls the orchestra back to the stage for a bow. That's not the kind of thing that typically happens in orchestral performances. It was a total class move.

@@BryceKatz I agree. I have played for a couple tour acts as the local backup horn section. Only once were we singled out like that after a performance. There are a lot of reasons many of us are so supportive of The Warning. Their kindness and consideration is one of the many reasons for sure.

The strings were used on another song from this concert, Black Holes, and it was great also! The drummer, Pau, sang the song solo along with the strings and playing piano. I have to agree that the production on the Pepsi Center CDMX concert videos are top notch!! I would buy a blu-ray of this concert in a heartbeat!

Yes, they understand and create very good composition through their classical training. Not your average rock band. They created their version and finished full production in 7 -10 days!

Just a couple minutes before this, Pau was in tears following the emotional performance of a lifetime. Like a true professional, she straightened herself out and did what she does best! On a side note, i think it would have been better if she did the bedtime prayer thing l like she did in the video. The child saying it is a different character in the song than what Dany was singing, so at a story telling level, having a different voice there would have added to the song

The show at Teatro Metropolitan didn’t seem to have the crowd mic’d. You get crowd noise, but it’s backscatter. The Pepsi Center show seems to have had a fairly decent crowd mic.

With every iteration of this song The Warning does they keep taking up to the next level, but I don't think even they can top this performance; unless the next time they add in a full brass section as well, who knows what they have planned.

Quite a lot of discussion on various threads where the TWA are split on liking the Pepsi version or preferring the Metropolitan one! Personally I like the Metro one better as it has better harmonies and more impact. But the Pepsi one is great too!

Hi Jone. I just recently discovered your awesome channel looking for Stevie Ray Vaughn reviews. I love how you covered a lot of his great Live Performances. I got a big recommendation for to watch and hopefully review - It is a live studio performance recorded on film with one of the truly greatest Bluesman/Guitarist of all time Albert King. They recorded a handful of songs that were captured live on film. The song I'm talking about is called 'Born Under a Bad Sign'. Stevie and Albert do this incredible back and forth with there guitars, plus it is a Blues classic and a very cool and funny song. Albert King did not think much of any other Guitarists including Hendrix (calling him sloppy). But when he first met and heard Stevie he knew he had heard the best Guitarist of all time (even better than himself). Two requests... I'd like to learn more from you, expertise-wise, specifically what your musical training tells you about things like their composition, harmonies, and so on. Second, a suggestion to cushion your mic... it picks up thumps on the desk from your hands. Also, I know you have whole lot of song requests, so this suggestion is for you, not me... Revenant from Teatro 2022 live is absolutely unforgettable. It's all acoustic except for Ale's bass, and a guest plays a Bajo Quinto with them, which sounds great! I notice that you haven't yet reacted to a song that highlights Pau as a singer, and I'll bet that Pau in this song will amaze you. Sorry to lay two songs on you at once, but Pau also leaves drums and takes the stage to sing Narcisista in the same concert. (I'm suggesting this for you more than for me!
