yes!! Me too... I caught myself air drumming to them LoL.... addictive! And she is SO good at using just the right amount of visual exaggeration live on stage to be seen and we all become kind of "taken" with her, which is so natural for her but also extremely well practiced to be just so perfect... most people just don't get how to perform visually in such a magnetic way.

I like the way Dany always looks just as eager to see what song is getting pulled as the rest of the crowd. Dany laughing at them making sure they rememberd it right then proceeded to forget her part. When you get to Hunter the May 12th Austin show happened almost exactly the same way. Only Pau didnt actually sing she just mouthed the words to Dany. Kinda like you were saying with Ale and Pau. None of them actually need to talk to talk to each other. @@don-music - Well yes. They had 14 or 15 shows were the jar song was picked. So of course they had multiple of each song for the audience to pick from. But Dany said that there's one piece of paper with the song they haven't played in awhile. That song was *XXI Century Blood.* Which the girls haven't played in a while. One reactor said that there's only one song in the jar & they practiced that song during soundchecks. One. That's ridiculous. And two their soundchecks are opened for a certain Patreon tier reward. *XXI Century Blood* was practiced many times before the tour started. As well as the other jar songs & *More.* They do *More* sometimes at soundchecks.
@don-music
@don-music Жыл бұрын
oh yea that's totally ridiculous... playing it in sound check doesn't make it the only song... one thing we know about them is that they are extremely honest. Oh that's interesting that they do More sometimes at soundchecks... I guess just whatever song they feel like doing or want to run through the arrangement of, maybe. Or like you said, with VIPs there, could even be a song that was agreed upon before hand.

@oldmanyeni1663

The jar song was such a fantastic idea. Almost every show, the crowd would point out one of the young fans (almost always young girl) near the front, and they would bring the jar over and let them pick the song out. That takes some serious guts to have the confidence to pull that off, or at least know that as a band you can pull it off together. And then to have the awareness to slip right in with the vocals. This is what makes many of us love The Warning. Their humanity, their realness, their humility, their adaptability. Such outstanding professionals. Things happen live. How you recover from that is what makes a performance special. Heck, The last four times I saw Rush, I could see that even Geddy had a lyrics teleprompter (I even found a misspelling in one of the tunes when I was in the front row).
@don-music
@don-music Жыл бұрын
yea, if I ever return to live gigging as vocalist of a band again (I've been studio only for the past few years), I will likely need a teleprompter... but misspellings in a teleprompter? LoL that's awesome, specially with such an intellectual group!
@oldmanyeni1663
@oldmanyeni1663 Жыл бұрын
@@don-music It almost makes me wonder if the stage crew was doing it intentionally to see if Geddy caught it. BTW, the jar songs on this last US portion of the tour. 3x P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. 3x Ugh 3x When I'm Alone 2x Red Hands 2x Hunter 1x XXI Century Blood I got to see Hunter and When I'm Alone. Never seen this one before. That was both hilarious and amazing at the same time. It seems on this tour especially that Ale spends more time interacting with Pau with a foot up on her riser than other tours. I think sometimes Dany is the subject of their inside jokes. It seems all 3 can interchange between lead and backing vocals whenever required. It’s got to be hard to memorize the lyrics and musical parts to close to 50 songs for anyone. Both Dany and Pau forgot some lyrics during their acoustic show in Montreal and that kinda made that performance endearing.

@don-music
@don-music Жыл бұрын
seriously? that's amazing! No other group is like this... I mean there have been groups with multiple singers, but nobody where one singer would take over for another during the song on a whim when needed... even triumph weren't tossing their lead vocal parts between the 2 of them that sang lead when there was an issue, as far as I've ever seen. Cream never really had the chance to do that, because they weren't exactly a long lived touring group.... and again only 2 vocalists out of the 3 of them.
@don-music
@don-music Жыл бұрын
oh, and Thank you (since I didn't say it before properly).
@awadoma2702
@awadoma2702 Жыл бұрын
Any of them can take lead on a few songs and some parts of other songs but not all the songs.... there is a reason why you have only ever heard Ale sing 3 of the songs Dany sings and there is a reason why you have only heard Pau sing 2 complete songs that Dany sings and parts of 1 or 2 others. Dany voice has been in bad shape on a few shows especially when they were touring with 3DG and the only help she got was Ale took lead on one song and Pau helped on a few lines with another. If any of them could take lead if they wanted to then Dany should be able to take it easy when her voice is not 100%. If Ale's voice is not 100% no prob show goes on. If Pau's voice is not 100% no prob show goes on they just don't play the 1 or 2 songs Pau would normally sing. If Dany's voice is not 100% then show gets canceled unless Dany can power through and sing 80-90% of the songs she normally sings
@don-music
@don-music Жыл бұрын
oh of course, Dany is the lead vocalist and the most powerhouse singer. But there's more to it than that. Singing and playing a song requires working out how to do so... I am quite certain that ale and pau can sing most of Dany's lead vocals, and very well too, but now while playing their instruments, unless they were well prepared to do so and worked it out for weeks themselves on their own first. The rhythmic coordination requires that kind of calculated preparation. I know for a fact that Ale used to practice lead on hunter and red hands pretty often before she ever was prepared to do them live with the band. Dany has the widest range of all 3 of course, and the biggest voice with the most passion in it, but most of the material could be sung very well with ale or pau on lead vocals. Just not something you can jump into without lots of preparation.
@awadoma2702
@awadoma2702 Жыл бұрын
@@don-music I can sing all the Warning song and i'm not a singer, I would not get any positive reviews if I did it on stage... so yes I know Ale and Pau can sing all of The Warning songs... There is a reason that they don't when Dany is having voice problems and that is because they can't do them to a professional standard, their voices can't go where the song requires them to go. No amount of practice can help if you don't have the vocal range to hit the notes.. If they could with practice and do them well them i'm sure they would have already practiced around 10 songs that Dany sings that Ale and Pau can take over on those nights where Dany can't sing. Anyway the statement that was made was that "any of them can take lead when they need to" and that is just not true. my statement stands at any of them can take lead on some songs and parts of other song, but not all songs.
