LYRICS (from Official KZbin Channel):
We're the new generation
lost our salvation
another problem to be solved we ́re the groundbreakers honey living for the money
21st century blood
Immortal souls dying
empires are falling
we are just waiting to be crushed politicians trying but we know they're lying every truth has been sold
eah eh eh eh yeah eh eh eh eh
We make buildings
when what we need are bridges we are stuck within these walls everyone with blank faces trying to fill the blank spaces that we left a long time ago
Yeah! Yeah!
What will our future hold?
will we regret our addiction to the rush
yeah! Yeah!
we've always been crazy so
let's fly away
and roam through the world that is slowly burning in the flames
eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh
Everyone's in depression because of an obsession
with stereotypes around the world worldwide starvation
but in this situation
no one seems to care at all
Our communication replaced by animation television has control every question answered internet demands us
to worship it like a god
Yeah! Yeah!
what will our future hold?
will we regret our addiction to the rush
yeah! Yeah!
we've always been crazy so
let's fly away
and roam through the world that is slowly burning in the flames
eh eh eh eh eh eh eh
Yeah! Yeah!
what will our future hold?
will we regret our addiction to the rush
yeah! Yeah!
we've always been crazy so
let's fly away
and roam through the world that is slowly burning in the flames
eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh eh yeaaah

All three of them are well-read, well-educated, and social media savvy. They started to home schooled around the time they recorded this album. Ale had to take time off from school to attend recording sessions. So they actively participated in their own education and because of that, they consume information from multiple sources, and they question what they hear and the validity of the source.

This is indeed one of the things we love about them! Coupled with the awesome music, lyrics, presence/performance, etc. They have very quickly become one of our favourite bands. This is only the sixth song we heard from them as we are saving them all for first-time reactions. It's an awesome experience every time! The Villareal Sister are primed for world domination. Soon, we hope! Thank you for taking the time to view and engage. Much appreciated! 🙏

Back when Ale was the most outgoing visual member and huge harmony vocal contributor in the group, before she started to become more and more self conscious both visually and vocally over the years. Thankfully for all of us fans, it seems that over the past year or so she has started to become more outgoing again, and is more comfortable and relaxed and having fun on stage and singing more and more and more

She has a gorgeous deep vocal register that fills in her sister's vocals the same way her bass fills in her sister's instrumentals. And if she believes in herself her frontwoman vocals would bring the band to new artistic realms. I do hope she get's the self confidence to blossom, as she has the potential to bring something unique to this band. Easy on the eyes too! I see the potential for the warning to evolve to a point where we can't really say who the frontwoman is.

I think to some extent the others told her she had to move around most because Dany was often tied to the mic and obviously Pau to the drums. Now they’ve all had so much more experience the last couple years and yes, Ale is coming into her own.

Yes - Ale seems to be visibly having a great time on stage & you can see her singing along even when she is away from the mike. I think somewhere down the line we will be hearing more of her vocals.

The XXICB album was released in March 2017 so most of the writing was completed in 2016 when they were 16-14-11 and some of the songs dated back to 2013-14 when they were learning how to write songs under the tutelage of Pablo González Sarre, Ale's bass teacher and the band's longtime mentor. Pablo would assign them to write a song of a specific genre, starting on piano, then they had to arrange the music for a band presentation at their next meeting. Pablo says he would guide them by asking questions about what they are trying to say or how does the music convey their feelings instead of making his own opinionated recommendations. Those "homework" songs were never intended to be released, but when they decided they wanted to attend Berklee School of Music some of them were released on their April 2015 iTunes EP "Escape the Mind" so they could earn tuition money. After they attended Berklee in the Summer of 2015 the remaining "homework" songs became the starting point for their first album, XXICB.

When a rock band goes on tour how often do they talk about libraries and bookstores along the way? Last summer (2022) Dany was impressed by the Vancouver library and a bookstore somewhere in Canada, and when I saw them in Minneapolis they had a partial day off and went to the mall but spent most of the time in a bookstore there. As a longtime bookstore worker and with librarians in the family I remember things like that. That should give insight regarding how/why their writing always touches on real topics and often has layered meanings. We’re not used to seeing that from teen rockstars.

i always wonder how many others notice the number on the pod the baby is placed into... many of us think it may be a shout out to YES and their 1983 album *90125* which was released two years after YES broke up... you can find a few links to that album in its entirety... not really a music video as it is only the music... it is a great trip back in time and worth catching... so back to this video... yes, the imagery is awesome and extremely thought provoking... there's a lot being said in there... one of the main things is about taking a leap of faith and leaving things behind... the video was nominated for and won several awards back in 2017 and 2018... great reaction... yes, you're not the only ones to be totally shocked at that one point in the video! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

I believe it was 2013 when they made the decision to move to be professional musicians, and left school to become home schooled. All have the equivalent of GED's. Tutors and their parents were responsible for pushing them to read books relentlessly, watch documentaries, research on their own, to believe what they discover, not what they are fed thru social media. They could be at the top of any profession they would choose. We, as listeners of Rock&Roll got lucky. Yep, they are the total package, Superstars, and the three most humble people you could ever find.

These girls are wise beyond their years. They soak up information like sponges and play it out in their awesome music. And even their first EP they were trying to find their sound but even those songs are still good. They have yet to write a "bad" song. And its almost like Disciple is a continuation or updated version of this song. This is my first time watching your guys review so I will have to go back and check your others. This one was spot on and good. cioa for now from Victoria BC PS: since you did this older song I'd suggest their performance of their song Survive at TedX in feb 2017 it is the song that hooked MANY of us TWA and you will see why lol BUT the whole performance is great they play 3 songs and talk about their journey to that point in between the songs. really worth watching.

Since you haven't seen much of their earlier work, I would suggest checking out some of the stuff from their Ted-talks. They did two TEDx at the University of Nevada. 2016 and 2017. 2016 has a lot more talking and the playing isn't quite as polished but provides great insights into the band. 2017 leans more on the playing and less on the talking. And the performance of Survive at the end shows how well they had it together even back then. Got a standing ovation.

This was definitively the best reaction/analysis of this song I have ever heard. Both the video and the lyrics as well as the performance hits hard but in different ways. Some se it as really dark and break while others don´t see darkness at all. This was one of the first things I heard of The Warning and I loved it, stepped on the gas pedal and hurried further down this long and wide rabbit hole. This album and this song, would never have been made if they had sold out to the record companies who wanted to change and mold them into something they didn´t want to be. These girls had integrity and a dream which they did not want to mold into a dream of some one else. Many many kids have been blinded by fast fame and commercial success and very few are around today. The Warning worked hard and are still rising and now they have control, they don´t need the "help" to rise any more. Although they are now signed with Lava, they still maintain 100% control over their music. Like Pau once said when a record company asked them if they wanted to play for 12 people or 20.000, she answered "The Warning are rather playing for twelve people if it means we can play what we want to play" and they walked out from that company, negotiations where over! Three very talented and very conscious girls did their thing and where happy when they realized other people liked it, it was not their plan from the beginning. But now they are a "rock band" and they are still the same only a little older and more experienced. Delivering a fantastic show with marvelous music. I heard this song in the show they did a couple of days ago and it did not strike me as if it was done six or seven years ago. It fit right in with their other stuff. And I still love it in spite of years bygone. ⚡⚡⚡

They debuted 2 new songs live this week that rock hard. They did 3 special shows that they hired top people to put on. All 3 were top notch and each one had a surprise for the fans. They had a string section from a symphony on stage with them for a couple of songs. One of the songs was Black Holes which is a fan favorite but they don't do very often as it is acoustic. They rolled out a grand piano and Pau did it backed by the strings. They also did enter sandman with the strings

Oh man, so much wisdom - both in the song and in your analysis. It's not all upbringing though. My daughter is nearly 14, and I desperately try to get her to care for... anything, really. Something. Try to make her see the problems around her, the problems the world faces. Or at least pick up some hobby. She's just not interested. It's so frustrating. The only thing she cares about are bloody stupid TikTok videos. I try talking to her about something serious, and she looks at me, holds out her phone and shows me some pimply teen on TikTok eating something in the most disgusting way possible. It drives me nuts. It's the old saying: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. I'm still hoping she comes around once puberty has toned down a bit... Hope dies last, they say. Playing outside with friends? I wish...
