For me the Arms class fantasy gives me a sense of freedom I don't get with other specs. You are a combat veteran skilled in a variety of weaponry using big and precise hits to overcome your opponents in a strategic fashion. I like to think of my character as a wandering mercenary, not bound by a particular order, just wandering from place to place offering his services for those in need.

Chaos Network Ya for sure it's just preach usually finds Paladins to be a snooze fest. I think Ret will be fine I'm just worried that all the content won't be very Ret friendly the raid seems harsh on melee and we also don't seem to have the aoe we used to so dungeons will be a bit ruff. Mobility is crap and utilities don't seem that great. Hope we can do traditionally rogue levels of ST to make up for all this.

I agree with the above 2 comments, but I'm a bit afraid of the "bring the class not the player throwback" mantra that is being half-assed will result in very predictable raid groups (1 DH for debuff, 1 warrior for buff, rogues for mechanics, then the rest mages/locks/hunters) with no room for specs like ret, shadow, ww, feral, elemental, enhance, even dps DKs, etc.. I hope I'm wrong, but with how the community at large are so hyped on the world first metas and perceptions, I'm scared. I guess it's nothing new but I'm sad about it right now again lol.

What you said about Warrior is exactly how I feel about post WoD Enhancement... ever since they made the huge change to the maelstrom bar the class has just been a shell of the fun it used to be to me. People love it but it's not the class I had been playing since BC and loved.

I always thought the class fantasy of Arms was a trained, refined, weaponsmaster. Like a skilled military soldier, as opposed to the frenzied, berserker of Fury.

PREACH THANK YOU!!!! To be completely honest, in Lich I gave up on my warrior that I had leveled up (as my guild needed tanks in vanilla) and loved it through BC. Lick made it feel lackluster in comparison to the new DK. I dragged it along through each expansion but didn't dig it.... Watch this video, and I'm back on it! I don't know if it really is, but the BFA changes do seem to make it really fun now!!! So glad I saw this video or I wouldn't be where I am now...the class felt so lackluster for a long long time!

Your Overpower buffs your Mortal Strike 2 times,so i think you will always do Mortal strike with 2 Overpower buffs in Execute phase :)

I like the "pool resources, dump them in burst windows" kind of class mechanic. I enjoyed colossus smash on the arms warrior in MoP (I didn't like fury's rage mechanic though), and I really enjoyed MoP Demo Lock. It just feels so satisfying to dump a few slams in a colossus smash window.

Well, this is a problem. I gave up on arms early in Legion. Rage starvation and what felt like a rigid playstyle left me cold on the spec. But if arms is playable in BFA then warrior becomes the only class where I enjoy all three specs. My main has been priest since TBC... but this makes me wonder if it's time to switch.

Usually I am on the opposite on everything Preach says about classes, but not this time. Already playing it in beta and really feels like the Cataclysm glory is coming back. One point, the Arms warrior is IMO the "Veteran Soldier" of Warriors while the Fury Warrior is more of an arena gladiator.

I disagree that the class fantasy of Arms is boring. The class fantasy of Arms is that you hit people with a big two-handed weapon, HARD. The reason Arms is tricky is that it doesn't fit within the 'proc-fishing, cooldown management, burst window' design philosophy which had dominated WoW since patch 4.3. Consistent, hard-hitting, burst DPS is simply frowned upon in WoW, mostly to prevent the class that has it from dominating Arenas. Every time they've delivered on that fantasy, the nerf cries have followed hot on their heels, and nerfs take away all we've been given.
