Al-Qur'an chapter 4 verse 48: "Lo! Allah forgiveth not that a partner should be ascribed unto Him. He forgiveth (all) save that to whom He will. آية: 112 قَٰلَ كَمۡ لَبِثۡتُمۡ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ عَدَدَ سِنِينَ (112) [Allāh] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" آية: 113 قَالُواْ لَبِثۡنَا يَوۡمًا أَوۡ بَعۡضَ يَوۡمٖ فَسۡـَٔلِ ٱلۡعَآدِّينَ (113) They will say, "We remained a day or part of a day; ask those who enumerate." آية: 114 قَٰلَ إِن لَّبِثۡتُمۡ إِلَّا قَلِيلٗاۖ لَّوۡ أَنَّكُمۡ كُنتُمۡ تَعۡلَمُونَ (114) He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. آية: 115 أَفَحَسِبۡتُمۡ أَنَّمَا خَلَقۡنَٰكُمۡ عَبَثٗا وَأَنَّكُمۡ إِلَيۡنَا لَا تُرۡجَعُونَ (115) Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned?" آية: 116 فَتَعَٰلَى ٱللَّهُ ٱلۡمَلِكُ ٱلۡحَقُّۖ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ رَبُّ ٱلۡعَرۡشِ ٱلۡكَرِيمِ (116) So exalted is Allāh, the Sovereign,[969] the Truth;[970] there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. [969]- And owner of everything in existence. [970]- Or "the True Reality." آية: 117 وَمَن يَدۡعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ لَا بُرۡهَٰنَ لَهُۥ بِهِۦ فَإِنَّمَا حِسَابُهُۥ عِندَ رَبِّهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُفۡلِحُ ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ (117) And whoever invokes besides Allāh another deity for which he has no proof - then his account is only with his Lord. Indeed, the disbelievers will not succeed. آية: 118 وَقُل رَّبِّ ٱغۡفِرۡ وَٱرۡحَمۡ وَأَنتَ خَيۡرُ ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (118) And, [O Muḥammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." سورة المؤمنون - Al-Mu’minūn Holy Quran ❤

I think you all should start with life of the Holy Prophet pbuh. That will give you a background and you will realize each verse in the Holy Quran is because of a question/event that happened. It will make you understand the Holy Quran better. Its also called tafseer. Some Holy Quran books have tafseer in them which gives a little bit about when the verse was revealed and what is it about. That way you will have the maximum knowledge of Islam if you truly are seeking it. Good luck with whatever you do!
