The story of Hangpan Dada is so inspiring and exceptional. His family are so simple and selfless in this immense sacrifice, he has made for the country. When we spend our evenings in the safe comforts of our homes, we need to spare a thought for this family. They get to meet their sole bread winner only once a year and any moment can bring the dreadful news of killed-in-action. His son aspires to be an army officer and may god make his dreams come true. My heart goes out to the North East people who face so much discrimination in our major cities and do so much for the motherland. Thanks to Indian Army for sharing this inspiring story of their brave men.

abxx I had a lump in my throat. All martyrs are equal for me. But what made me more emotional in this case was that he is from Arunachal Pradesh. A state which doesn't get one tenth the attention of Maharashtra and so on. And also seeing his wife and children, the quiet village. I really controlled my emotions while watching this.

Today, when ALL of us fill fake rent receipts to avoid paying taxes, remember Hav. Hangpan Dada. If it weren't for people like us - Indian Army soldiers like Dada would have had light body armor and a modern Ballistic Helmet by now. Some of the world's best Helmets of which, btw, are manufactured by an Indian company called MKU in Kanpur (and exported to developed countries). Finally, the Government has placed an order for them recently. But they will take 3 years to be fully procured. Dada and countless soldiers, didn't wait to get protection -- they faced and conquered the enemy in spite of that. Next time you say JAI HIND ask yourself what you're doing to contribute to the country. What apart from being social media Modi-bhakts? What apart from Tax-theft, fraud and forgery? What apart from being an Indian only in name. Are you an Indian in deed? When was the last time you read the Constitution of India? All of us know we have Fundamental Rights--but how many of you know there are also Fundamental Duties of as Indian citizens? They are on page 25 of this PDF: india.gov.in/sites/upload_files/npi/files/coi_part_full.pdf. These are the ideals our soldiers have pledged to protect with their lives. At least have the courage to live up to them even if you don't have the courage to die for them. RIP Hav. Dada.
