@LiveHardxLoveHard4 ай бұрын
Colby that is awesome!! How were the conditions going over Kearsarge? Is there still a lot of snow? We're hoping to do the full Onion Valley to Rae Lakes marathon in a day soon, but it's so long that we don't want to be battling snow and post-holing half the way. ❤️
@colbyclay59114 ай бұрын
@@LiveHardxLoveHard a good amount of the trail is dry now, and the snow that was present was mostly passable with boots and poles. The last half mile was the only time I put on spikes, because it was definitely not a place you’d want to slide unless you wanted to end up in big pothole lake. Funny enough, I was also looking forward to doing onion valley to Rae lakes, which originally I planned on doing as a backpacking trip…but Kearsarge pass went better than expected, so I think with a bit of training, doing it as an epic day hike would be even better! Give it a month or so and all the snow will probably be gone and the lakes completely unfrozen

ELISE and ADAM a hello from France with a little delay. This is an unusual video that plunges us into the heart of your capital. From the Lincoln memorial to the Jefferson memorial, from the Capitol to the Pentagon without forgetting Teddy, and I don't forget, what better way to make us discover emblematic places of the founding of America. In the background, ELISE's voice singing the anthem "America the beautiful" resonates like an echo of the honors to ADAM's daughter who can be proud, and it shows. Congratulations. The joy and emotion are palpable. Kisses to you both. DAN

At Timestamp 6:45....Adam referred to The United States Government as a 'democracy'. We are not a democracy. No? No. The United States operates as a "Constitutional Republic" (smile). Well....what is the difference? A 'Republican Party" describes a group of people who emphasize individual freedom & individuality itself over equality of all. A 'Democrat Party" describes the exact opposite because the Founding Fathers had a horror of 'mob rule'. Rather simply put.......but I believe in "Keeping It Simply Simple"..... (KISS & a wink). It's been awhile since I last saw you two. You're BOTH looking GREAT (smile). GOD BLESSES ALL.

@LiveHardxLoveHardАй бұрын
That's a great question! In our experience, the biggest key is to start slowly and progress very slowly. We both have the kind of personalities that lead to overuse injuries if we don't force ourselves to progress slowly. So that means that in terms of adding distance to your runs, don't add more than about 5-10% per week. If we had done that, we would have avoided a lot of injuries as we were building up our distance abilities. ❤️
