Interesting. Open house and rededication are occurring now. Interesting to see the changes to the building and grounds. A church and visitor center were built nearby along with a few more houses. Will miss the Jesus mural with the righteous and the damned. Well the painting has been reprinted in old church literature so maybe not a total loss. Thank you for the videos. They are a trove of memories and understanding.

My sister lives about 10 minutes from this temple. It is amazing that you can clearly see it from the Interstate as you drive by, no surrounding obstructions to its view.

Does anyone know if there is still a pipe organ in the Temple Chapel?
@alexanderw72196 жыл бұрын
The Tempe is currently closed for renovation and will have an open house and re-dedication in 2020. That being said, when I was last there in 2013 there was still the organ in chapel. Not much had changed really with interior except carpet of different colors went to a more white and cream color in most places. The sealing rooms had all be re painted into a more universal white with some faint gold trim in places and the alters were all white, doing away with the very 70's feel that was there. I am curious to see what the temple will be like when it is finished.

Was there yesterday. The organ appeared to still be there in the chapel.

Good historical piece. Sad that the women with the baby (6:25 to 6:42) was looking forward to a future with her family (in heaven) but, it's not relative to scripture. Mark 12:25

Those were the days when only a handful of members know about the many wives of Joseph Smith. Internet has done so much damage to religions especially the mormon religion.
@bagnasbayabas5 жыл бұрын
@The Last Danite of course! You can have many wives as long as it is commanded by God. Joseph Smith was chosen by God so therefore, Joseph Smith can do whatever he wants you to do. If he wants your young beautiful daughter, he can have it. Right?

For myself I take my spirituality very personal, taking doctrines and ideas from multiple sources. One thing I have learned both about religion and politics is to research multiple points of view before drawing a conclusion. That ideal should be all over the internet. People are very passionate about a great many subjects from many disciplines but that doesn't necessarily make them correct.
