Thank you so much for posting this. I've been searching for years. My mom has a copy in her storage....somewhere. My family is in this video, and my father was interviewed. In fact, he is the man in the screenshot before playing the video.

Would anyone be able to tell me the name of the song that's played at the very beginning of the video? I recognise it, but I can't recall the name of it.

The Pacific Northwest deserves a prettier temple than this. The exterior is fine, but the interior just looks sad. An art deco style remodel would be perfect.

Jesus promised that the church cannot be destroyed in Matthew 16:18. In 1820 in the First Vision, Joseph been told the church was destroyed, thus introducing new version of Jesus that cannot save, known as the Mormon Jesus. Because Joseph was 14 years old at that time, like most teenagers, Joseph didn't know scriptures to defend himself in the First Vision. Its very sad that Joseph was deceived and spawned a new religion in which you cannot be saved.

Joseph didn't need to "know scripture" to the extent to engage in arguments and debates with the other religionists who were doing so with each other in the area in which he lived at the time. He received the Word in a way that far surpasses any book. Not to mention your first sentence makes no sense: " . . . In 1820 . . . Joseph been told the church was destroyed, thus introducing a new version of Jesus that cannot save, known as the Mormon Jesus." Where to even begin with trying to decipher that statement? Joseph was not told the church was "destroyed," but more so that it had been taken from the earth, and the religionists of his day, though they knew the bible inside and out and professed the name of the Lord with lip-service, their hearts were far from him. What this has to do with an alleged "new Jesus" who "cannot save" is nonsensical. There is only one Jesus. Interpretations of him may vary but that doesn't make "different" versions of him. And his alleged inability to save has exactly what to do with Joseph teaching that the church needed restoration? Additionally, Joseph wasn't "like most teenagers" -- as if to suggest he was a lazy, uninformed teenager like so many in our day. Even before the first vision he said his mind was often caught up to ponder on the things of God.

It is demonic. They do work for dead people!

I've studied a lot of different religions and deities and participated in various rites and ceremonies. There's a wide variety of beliefs and philosophies amongst different people, and yet they all seem to have common themes as well. Just because something is different than what I'm used to doesn't make it "creepy." It's just different. I've also found there's a lot to be learned by really trying to understand others and what is most meaningful to them. And many traditions have ways of honoring the dead. The ancient Egyptians mummified the dead, built tombs for them, and filled the tombs with various artifacts, food, and objects that the deceased person would supposedly have in the afterlife. Even in the Bible the followers of Jesus anointed and clothed his body under Jewish law for burial. Mormons apparently honor their dead by being baptized in their name. None of these things are "demonic." Again, using a loaded word to strike a nerve does not mean it accurately represents what a group believes about their own traditions and rituals.

@@nicolelovesjesusgod7673 Precisely how is offering the blessings of Jesus Christ -- such as baptism -- for those who have departed without hearing of him or learning about him -- "demonic?" Please explain -- specifically, and most particularly, where EXACTLY demons are spoken of, summoned, or imitated. And for goodness sake, try to use as few logical fallacies as possible.

You mean Mike Norton, for whom the "ends" (futile attempts to hurt temples or the church) always justify the means (lying to multiple people to just get IN the temple, trespassing on private property multiple times after being asked to leave, filming unsuspecting worshippers without their knowledge and against their will for the sole purpose of making fun of them).... that criminal? Yea. Go listen to him. You'll get 100% truth about the church from him - a criminal, liar, one who bears false witness, and takes something sacred to a group of peaceful people and does nothing but mock and make fun of it. He cannot, of course, destroy it, and being as the temple experience is one long allegory he's not really "revealing" anything - no more than a photograph reveals the character, hearts, minds of those in the pic, or the circumstances surrounding it all. You cannot reveal what you do not know!

God, being omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent, actually dwells everywhere, through all creatures and things, and is the light and life of the world. He speaks to every human spirit who inclines to his voice, no matter where or what building they may or may not happen to be in. And if it helps some humans to be in a church or cathedral or synagogue or tabernacle or temple to incline to him, why would he deny such? The temple is not for him, it is for us. Religion, meditation, prayer, scripture and everything else -- likewise, it is for us, not for God. He It is often helpful to retire away to a location/place where one can be alone with God to pray and meditate. The temple, in symbolic sense, is "away" from a world that is noisy, argumentative, and destructive. Similar to being alone by the seaside, or up on a mountain top.
