I have a Waves Lv1 that runs on a custom server intel-nuc i71360P (2 servers for redundancy and each Nuc is very powerful). I use an HP TouchScreen laptop to run the Emotion Waves Lv1 system, DSPro4000 interface manufactured in Brazil literally next to my house. The system works perfectly, I have had it for 4 years, only updating the servers. Since they are just computers running Linux, it's very cheap to replace, a very professional system for monitor and PA. It has never let me down. Observation: I love the low latency of Waves Tune when I'm performing on stage.

When he said no pitch correction I gained a lot of respect for him. We are some of the few who refuse to use autotune live.

I've been running the Waves Lv1 for a while now and it's been great. Super inexpensive. 32 channel version of LV1, a Behringer x32 rack with waves soundgrid card as a stagebox and doing monitors, an old i7 2nd gen laptop as host with external touchscreen and a Behringer BCF2000 fader controller, and two older i7 6th gen pc's as servers (one main, one backup in case of failure). For talkback and FOH IO just a super cheap ASIO usb audio interface. I had most of this stuff, just had to buy the LV1 32 channel and waves card for the Behringer x32.

How do you route interface audio into the soundgrid network?
@filipeadubeiro6 ай бұрын
@@sethwengermusicAt the moment I'm not near to the lv1 to confirm, but I think you have the option of incorporating asio devices in your host computer. I remember trying to use asio4all but I had to install the manufacturer drivers for it to work without glitches. In my case it was an ESI Neva uno interface.

wow, those cut filters are wild. They remove too much, I think it's best to work with speakers and mic placement and then the preamp gain before reaching for eq cuts if that what it's take to stabilize the mic channel.

I built my whole studio with Waves Lv1 almost 4 Years ago. In price per performance and inputs, there is nothing can close to it. I spent around 20K, if the same system done by anything else, would be around 60k $ !

Hi, thanks for the great video that gives me a first taste of the WAVE mixer but The music you planted in the background throughout the video interferes with concentrating on the explanations and slowly becomes annoying. Please without the music in the background. The video is good enough to hold the clip Good Day MIKI

Calling LV1 extremely affordable is a gross overstatement. It’s not actually very cost effective per channel. A Midas HD96 is far more affordable. The LV1’s main benefit is portability.
@MarcLewis20239 ай бұрын
We’re mainly referring to the channel count… cost for number of channels you get
@markarca63608 ай бұрын
Also a Behringer X32 or a Midas M32 is also a good option. The rackmount version of M32 is also good for portability.
@BrianRussTVC8 ай бұрын
@@markarca6360 the M32 is a lower class of console. Perfectly usable for a variety of applications, but it’s not on the level of an LV1 or HD96
@jthunderbass17 ай бұрын
The M/X32 don’t even come close to what the LV1 is. I used an X32 Core for years as IO and using the preamps from X32 for LV1, the mix sounds so much better through LV1.

mmmmmmmmmmmhh..... That moment when church sound goes overkill just because. I can image that early Monday morning meeting about why the audio crashed mid service! "We spent a fortune on sound to have no sound?" C'mon guys.... "But Pastor! We have WAVES plug-ins" lol I don't see how this is cheaper, Marc. I have to pay for the plugins that should be already in the system??? No one on livestream or at the temple cares about Waves plug-ins. This is beyond over kill geek mania...
@MarcLewis202310 ай бұрын
I don't personally use this console... but for 64 channels... it's a good buy for some people who don't have 20K+ for an actual desk... I think these will be more popular in the future... early adopters of technology always have the most pains...
@igorzavalnyi53419 ай бұрын
This system has been stable for quite a while now, and all-in-one digital consoles also freeze sometimes. Recently we had to reboot an SQ7 because of a freeze. One of the benefits of LV1 is actually the fact that if the Software glitches, the server will keep working and you’ll still have sound. The only drop in audio is a couple of seconds of drop when the software has been reloaded.
@igorzavalnyi53419 ай бұрын
And I don’t think this is overkill for a church. Plug-ins are not an extra thing, they simply help you solve audio issues better than a regular digital console with standard eq, compressors and effects. The dynamic EQ is so helpful on musicians that are not pros in controlling their sound and attack, and that’s only one example

The main con is that you running on a Window$ system which have always been problematic with production. Mac is the only way to go with waves but Mac still doesn't have touch screen. I just use superrack with a real console that way if your computer takes a dump you can fail back to just the console.

A total waste of money and time….if you buy a computer you can get several daws and do so much more…. This is why the Slate consoles never really sold like that.
