Eight insert points for EVERY input? That's very impressive. How many insert points for aux busses, matrixes, groups, and outputs?

you own the lience on your account, in perpetuity. There is the 12 month WUP which is a capped cost for technical support and software updates, which you do not need to pay.

Is it possible to expand more multi tracking recordings' numbers from 16 to 24 or above, by using the expansion I/O's? If that is possible, which model of the expansion unit?(looking to have at least minimum 24 channels of I/O's & 24 multitrack channels) Also, does the multitracking feature of this console, do "Punch In & Out"? Sorry if i am asking stupid questions...🙏🙏
@fullcompass3 ай бұрын
Hello! Yes, the on board recording is 16 tracks, but you can track up to 128 channels to an external DAW by using the SoundGrid ASIO driver on your computer connected to the SoundGrid network. No hardware required, just a computer and network connection. There is no punch in/out feature on the local recorder of the LV1 Classic as it is intended to record live performances. Punching in and out is something you would do in your DAW, as described above.

Hello! Waves does not specify a CPU for the onboard DSP. In terms of processing capabilities, it is equivalent to the Waves Extreme-C server.

Does it support AVB?
@fullcompass3 ай бұрын
Hello! There are several network modules available for converting various audio formats like Dante and MADI to SoundGrid which can be used as expansion devices with the LV1 Classic. However there is no option for AVB at this time.
@willmcelroy63763 ай бұрын
Is this also for studio use?
@fullcompass3 ай бұрын
Hello! The LV1 classic is designed primarily as a live production mixer for FOH, monitor, and broadcast applications. But it can potentially be used for studio applications in conjunction with a DAW by using the SoundGrid ASIO driver and connecting your DAW to the SoundGrid network.

The "form factor" is absolutely impractical in my opinion. No way to swivel the monitor when working outdoor with a sun behind your neck or indoor shows with lights behind you? No thanks. The idea behind this console is nice. But not from a practical standpoint in my opinion. Also it being a windows system i can't see myself using it for live shows.
@arguy20213 ай бұрын
I'm not attempting to disagree with you, because windows...lol, but also, what aspect of the platform are you most concerned with? What would you anticipate being a failure point?
@TinoSchulz19903 ай бұрын
@@arguy2021 Well, windows is known to corrupt drivers with each of their "updates". Not a single update goes by without people crying about some of their devices not working anymore. Of course waves will have systems to prevent such things from happening. But i've had nothing but trouble with windows systems in live-sound as well. On audio-optimized hardware...

At 8K it's significantly more expensive than something like Behringer Wing which, haters aside, offers a whole lot more depending on how you look at it...on the other hand, this occupies a weird space as it's potentially also a studio solution depending on how loud that fan on the side is.

And with the Wing Compact coming out soon... No competition.
@gffa1893 ай бұрын
What does it offer more exactly?
@stephenfleming80303 ай бұрын
@@gffa189 More wide ranging connectivity out of the box, knob per function channel control, higher fader count though lower channel and buss count, premium FX as standard...and most importantly, a 50% discount. But like I said, it depends entirely on how you look at it. For some folks the LV1 will be a no brainer, others the Wing wins.
