I'm one of those weird people who started from episode 1 and watched your summaries while doing my reread over the course of maybe 6 weeks or so. I love the idea of an special episode dedicated to awards! The winners I chose for each category were: 1.Kaladin 2.Death wears white. In WoK the interludes annoyed me at the beginning, because they seemed random stories...but then I realized how relevant they are and started appreciate them more. 3.Unpopular opinion: Any theory that doesn't involve Shallan's mother being a Herald 4.Dalinar trading his blade 5.Dalinar saving Elhokar! Those were the longest 10 heart beats of my life! 6.Tiens death. My honorable mention is the Heralds abandoning Taln...poor guy 😢 7. Sadeas was the main antagonist in WoK 8.Bridge 4 returning to save Dalinar! This leads to the best action sequence in the books and the most anticipated encounter between two main characters. 8.Adolin calling bridgeboy to Kaladin, Also I like Lopen 9. Outlandish theories, lore drops and speculation. 10. Brandon Sanderson! I'm pretty sure he would love to be a guest. I have the feeling that your podcast will become one of the most relevant in the fantasy genre in the next few years. 11. No I didn't re-read...that's why I'm listening to the podcast instead. 12. KZbin is my favorite platform to listen to these podcasts.

I have just thought of a theory, If Dalinar were to Die in Book 5. The Stormfather might become a DEADEYE. If that were to happen, TOdiums contest might be rendered invalid, and he would be free. Also Our boy adolin (We know has his own story, not Shallan or Dalinars side character) in this book, and he could have a story to bring back the Deadeyes by confronting Ba-ado-mishram. So what becomes of Dalinar? Hes Highly invested, and his death would form a stronger connection to Honor. From the Cognitive and spriitual realms he could reform the Shard of Honor and Ascend. During this time, i believe Kaladin and Szeth will help reform the Oathpact, using the New Honors power, we may even see Shallan confront her mother and bring her back to the pact as well.

You know you could do a poll for Words of Radiance now and then after you've reread it to work out what the biggest movers are in theories and memes. Also you won't get a true read on WoR theories as Wind and Truth will confirm some and shut down others. A similar argument could be put forward to do an Oathbringer and Rhythm of War survey now. I wouldn't discuss them now, but you could sit on them for a few years and come back to them!

Are the survey links in the show notes? I've seen them in KZbin when I open the app on the phone, but I never watch KZbin on my phone. I only open it to grab links for videos I've watched to IM the links. KZbin on the browser doesn't show those posts. Honestly, I usually listen via Overcast, but I'll YT whenever you mention new art or I like this one that had the pie charts.

I have absolutely no idea how onerous it is to add podcasts to new platforms, I'm hoping it's just a case of ticking some boxes somewhere...

I'm surprised and a bit sad Taravangian didn't do better on the antagonist poll. I guess he gets even better in further books but even in tWoK I'd consider him one of the best villains ever written (though I'm almost not even sure he counts as a villain) Honestly I don't listen regularly and didn't do the reread with you guys, so its been a while, but I'd probably put Taravangian first and then Kabsal for antagonists... so... hot takes, I guess?

For me I wouldn't consider Taravangian a Way of Kings villian or even a Words of Radiance villian. He's an Oathbringer Rhythm of war villian. Kind of like how Gavilars death is a satisfying moment in Rhythm of war and stormlight 5 but not the earlier books
