I think that was the reason he turned heel. The tash used to whisper positive patriotic things in his ear. Once it was removed, his bald spot(which was evil) had Hogan's undivided attention and whispered evil stuff into his ear. True story.

@@Robert.Deeeee LOL. His Bald spot was a combo of Uralian (As hair doesn't grow on a high Uralian forehead) - with Middle Eastern Human Archetype Breed - (which has the balding on the back of the head) - but the removal of his Rus style 'tash combined with the darkening of his sideburns etc was a good premise for him turning heel.....if you know what I mean. The same premise was used for Atilla - as Atilla used the Roman 'Princess' needing rescue for a premise to invade the Western Roman Provinces...and so-on. History repeating itself in a different form Mate.

I used to love wrestling when I was a kid and it was about this time with guys like hogan, warrior macho man etc. I lost interest over the years and to be completely honest, I never really regained that interest but I've found myself watching your videos recently, it's mainly nostalgic reasons as I've got very fond memories of the wrestling but that's not the only reason I'm enjoying your work as I find it fascinating learning about my heroes from the past, you have a great channel/vids and I can tell you must work your ass off because of the quality and depth of information in the vids, keep up the good work.

It also kinda irks me that the group was called the "Alliance to end Hulkamania". Not the Mega-Powers. Just Hulkamania, even though Randy Savage was Hogan's partner. Man, even in that sense, Hogan could never leave Savage alone. No wonder he hated Hogan as much as he did.

The way I felt it, the Doomsday Cage match DID end Hulkamania, because of the disappearance of Hogan shortly after, until Bash at the Beach '96 where the infamous heel-turn took place.

As a WWF fan I knew of WCW and watched it sometimes but when they started grabbing some of the old WWF veterans I began watching WCW and reached a point where I was jumping back and forth. RAW actually got boring there for awhile they lacked the "It" factor in the ring.

I truly dislike this era of Hogan’s career (and it doesn’t stop here) - his utter *refusal* to lose clean cements for me his desire not to advance the business by occasionally putting other talent over, but to advance his own ego and selfish desire for win after win. The point of a baby face is to be beaten down, lose some matches and get their revenge at the ppv- but Hogan never allowed this to happen. The so-called Alliance to End Hulkamania was clearly created to be the dastardly heals for Hogan to slay and it was pathetic. Hogan is nothing but an overrated egomaniac who used his ‘creative control’ along with the word ‘brother’ to turn wcw into his own personal playground. This series of videos is great - take nothing away from Wrestling Bios - I just despise that manipulative petulant politician Hulk Hogan
