Honestly, the fallout 76 community was without new players for so long that we are much more welcoming that other online rpgs merely because we don't like people leaving, or having a bad experience. Todd Howard might as well put a donation box next to the 76 entrance because we all drop nuka, rad away,rad x, stimpaks, and outfits there for new people. It's just a thing we all do.

As a die-hard Fallout fan and theatre fan, 17:53 blew my mind! Of course theatre would survive in a time when humanity is trying to reclaim our culture. Not to mention how perfectly it fits with a universe where a whole gang dresses up like Elvis and imitates him!

Yeah! The guy that said that "it doesn't fit" has no idea what they're talking about. Fallout is not only about being in a post apocalyptic America, is also about zany atomic punk culture, so yeah, a bunch of theatre kids reenacting plays on the wasteland fits perfectly.

I'm surprised you did so much research into legacies and didn't come across duping... Legacies are more prevalent now than they ever were before. Back in the days of nuking the Whitesprings to farm ghouls and early SBQ fights you almost never saw them, but these days if you go to any public event you're almost guaranteed to see at least one if not more in action.
@IGN
@IGN 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alex. Firstly, thanks for watching. I did come across duping and I did initially have it as a line of questioning, but ultimately I wanted to tell people stories and not focus too much on exploits and the nitty gritty of the game's system. The Legacy weapons was a jumping off point to introduce characters. I hope that explains it and I hope you enjoyed the video otherwise. - Dale.

The fun does start to wain once you've done almost everything but the time it takes to do so is pretty staggering. How do you do an interview with Bethesda devs about legacy weapons but not even mention that 90% of them are duped? Dupers and rmt traders seem to be protected and this is why so many people suspect that it is actually Bethesda employee's doing this. How else is it still happening 4 years later and nobody even questions Bethesda devs about it?
@giantpunda2911
@giantpunda2911 2 жыл бұрын
So we're going to just ignore duping and its impact on the legacy trading community? Surely your research wasn't so shallow that you missed this vital aspect of the black market? It's why real money trading is still very vibrant to this day. Legacies aren't hard to get so long as you're willing to spend real money on it. Once you realise this, it really brings into stark contrast as to why Bethesda has yet to do anything about these overpowered weapons that are no longer available to the "regular player". Makes you wonder why that is the case.

Legacy weapons are duplicated and sold on ebay and other market places in mass amounts, they aren't rare. They are way OP and ruin the fun for most new players... unless they buy one themselves. One would think this information would be included in a documentary instead of the comment itself being deleted, which this probably will be.
@IGN

Hi Goldie, your comment hasn't been deleted. Ultimately the legacy weapons chat was a jumping off point to meet the characters, as this was always a people story and less about the nuts and bolts of the systems and exploits. repetitive things in fo76 are actually more fun to do than in rdo. the only reason rdo stay that long to me for almost a year because of its graphics & world design. but fo76, since 2019 q1 up to present, still playing. and many people are still playing

So no mentions of duping? Over 90% of legacy weapons were duped. Many have purchased them through RMT means. My experience playing the game I've seen on the trading subs the same people posting but in the game I'm seeing multiple different people using one which means people are doing RMT. No one's trading for these anymore if people are comfortable spending 13 bucks a month on fallout 1st then buying themselves a legacy isn't a problem. Do some more research on these things and don't leave the big problems out.

Would be nice to see a follow-up to this. Now with explosive energy guns removed and things like mutated events. This was at a time when explosive energy guns were a negative issue for a lot of players and the game has never seen turnout for events like we do now with mutated events. I'd argue the game has come as far since this video as it did from launch till the video.
