Something that a lot of people may not know is that a lot of mainstream anime actors have also done hentai in the past. Dan Green is the most obvious one, but some of the ones dubbed in LA include actors who you may never expect. This has me thinking that hentai dubs may be badly acted on purpose so that you don't immediately recognize their voices.

Yeah finding English Dubbed Hentai that has anything close to good acting is vanishingly rare, to the point I was recently surprised by their existence. Those being Kanojo x and Kakushi Dere and not every actor is of the same quality. Those two I'm almost certain feature actual mainline voice actors that are in more normal anime including quite a bit of fan service shows. Including one particularly infamous example who seemed to be cast opposite of a man who is now her husband.

Here in Latin America, despite the fact that anime is very popular, we never got hentai dubbed into our language, but one of the few hentai that got dubbed was an obscure one called Darling from the 2000s, and most of the VAs that worked in that dub were amateurs which were actually credited with pseudonyms but people managed to figure out that the MC was voiced by Óscar Flores, which is a well known Mexican VA who has voiced characters like Numbuh One in KDN, The Ice King in Adventure Time, Lazlo in Camp Lazlo, the Narrator in Kaguya-sama, Genji in OverWatch, Allen Schezar in Escaflowne, Ryusui in Dr. Stone, etc. People asked about his participation in that hentai and he was quite open about it and he joked about it. Since 2022 a Mexican anime streaming service called Anime Onegai began brining some ecchi and hentai shows, things like Yosuga no Sora and Overflow, and they're dubbing them with plnety of well known VAs and they have been well received. And this is the part where I actually find it a bit sad that some ecchi and hentai anime have better Neutral Spanish dubs than more mainstream anime like My Hero Academia (seriously, MHA LatAm dub is horrible)

Love Hentai, been watching it since Urotsukidoji and La Blue Girl were re-released onto DVD back in the 2000s. Unfortunately I was a little too young back in the VHS days to collect these classics but during the mid to late 2000s I certainly dedicated a special shelf to get some of these amazing Japanese Adult Cartoons.
