A friend of mine called Peter, works at a pretty big company here in the Netherlands. He one day sent an e-mail to all the people named Peter in the company, and asked them to have a gathering. There were about 20-30 people attending, and he made a Peter quiz, where the answer to all the questions was a famous person called Peter.

I love the music and the play “West Side Story,” except for ☝️ mistake in Bernstein’s script: Tony has fallen in love with a Puerto Rican girl named Maria, and in one scene he approaches the large tenement building where she lives, surrounded by other Puerto Ricans, and shouts out “Maria!” But only ONE girl goes out onto her balcony! ONE Maria in a building housing HUNDREDS of Puerto Ricans! But the play was wonderful, except for the sad ending.

When I was at university there were two students in my hall of residence who were both called Michael John Holt and used to get each other's mail. Incidentally my own surname (Stearman) is pretty rare and is often misspelt as Steadman or Steerman - the latter is actually close in meaning as the 'stear' part is apparently an old form of 'steer' in the sense of an ox or bullock.

In the world of (slightly obscure) classical music, specifically French baroque, there were 3 cousins all called Jean-Baptise Loeillet who all wrote quite excellent music. Trying to untangle who wrote what is nowadays rather confusing. One went by "Jean-Baptiste Loeillet de Gant" (of Ghent) which helped, and another moved to London where he called himself Jack Loeillet.
