I really thought I was gonna hate this movie but I ended up loving it. Bat-Dad was fun, Damian was likable, Alfred was the funniest, and the villains were like a family which was really cute.

Literally one of the best Kids Super Hero Specials I've seen. Me and my son watched it and it was like I was transported back to when I was a kid in the 90s. I loved it. He loved it even more. It's a W in my book.

I personally saw it as an Elseworld-like movie; one where Bruce raised Damian since he was a child, and has become obsessed with protecting his family so he won't lose them like he did when he was a kid. It would also explain Damian's personality as well. But I do agree, some of the villains' designs are to be desired (for me, it would be just Penguin and Ivy).

The story have a bit Home Alone vibes as well. Looking at the list of villains it does seem taken ques from the Burton/Schumacher movies. But with a better Bane. Missing Two-Face and Riddler from the thing though. Selina the kitty is basically Catwoman. Poison Ivy looks a lot like Cruella DeVil. The Joker looks more like Scarecrow. I liked the movie. Wouldn't watch it again, mby with some friends who haven't seen it. But is a fine movie for kids. Poison Ivy doesn'ty like ppl in general, there r few exceptions depending on which world. Harley is most consistance, even in original and most version is tolerance and not (temp) love things.

I agree they just used the names to trade on the IP. I think the changes match the style...though I think comic Damian is completely relatable for young readers. Many kids fill like they are destined to be like their parents, and many make mistakes and need to learn from those mistakes (Damian is my own Wild Child' favorite character and he definitely relates.) I did like the animation style. What I didn't like, though, was the uneven pacing. Much of the pacing is kid friendly....until they pump the brakes to appeal to the IP. Then it drags and would go over the heads of the target market. Were it more tightly edited, the movie would have ended up on our "yearly" must watches......but we may check it out in the future.

I’d be down for that, I can kinda imagine the plot. Maybe Connor and Jon are fighting and Clark decides to teach them about their Kryptonian heritage to help bring them closer together, maybe have Jon fully embrace it whilst Connor just has more stacked on top of his hefty identity crisis. Then have them maybe fight Zod as a way for them to come to grips with it all in a physical manner

When my wife told me she found this and wanted to watch it with me, I wasn't thrilled and not sure how I'd feel after seeing the art style. But then we watched it and I actually had a really fun time with it. Just a super silly, fun Christmas special

I thought it was decent-alright, with a few key things I want to address: -The artstyle was good, until they showed Alfred and the villains. Everybody else looks normal, so I don't get why they get to appear so ugly -They may have as well cast Rino Romano again, as his voice is now rougher, yet it's more high pitched than the ones of other VAs and it would've worked well for this version of character. Meanwhile with Luke Wilson I only kept hearing Luke Wilson or someone's pop who dressed up as Batman, not the real superhero -David Hornsby wasn't awful, but also not great as Joker. I still wouldn't put him on a list on a list of worst Jokers, he was certainly better than Brent Spiner's aloofness, Allen Enlow's nails on chalkboard take or Kevin Pollak being unintentionally laughable in the role

I absolutely loved this lil special, mostly because I watched it with my lil brother and he loved it, i'm just so happy to see my lil broski take an interest in batman, and it was a good breath of fresh air from the same old stoic batman with a huge ass stick up his ass he seems to always have now in comics and movies. We can have a happy batman and a good story at the same time, he doesn't always have to be depressing and sad, batman was once in comics actually growing as a person, and then it seems like once, "The Batman", movie came out, dc just pushed bats back to being a dark loner who has to learn to open up to his family, again and again and again. The man just finished fighting another whole ass war in Gotham, and learned the same lesson all over again, like jeez, seeing this special for me was like getting to see a Batman who got to grow as a person, and became better as a parent because of that growth. That's the hero I want my lil bro to see, the one who grew into a loving, warm, gental dad, not the cold, loving but distant father.

For some reason, the character designs remind me (A bit) of another Christmas movie: "Olive the Other Reindeer". And I think that is partially with how characters like Bruce have that similar shape. Either way (while I haven't seen it yet) I was put off by the designs at first, but I've warmed up to it over time.😊

As someone who is on a mission to watch every Batman movie and loves Christmas, I was really looking forward to Merry Little Batman! And I really enjoyed it… UNTIL… Some bits felt like homages to classic Christmas movies. The home invasion portion felt much like a Home Alone sequence, with Damian channeling tiny terror Kevin McCallister. The Joker and all his talk of “stealing Christmas” was a clear How the Grinch Stole Christmas reference. It is on that part that it lost me. At the end of the film, Damian, Batman, and Alfred return all the items the Yuletide yoinkers stole, which causes the people of Gotham to rejoice and regain their Christmas spirit. … Which ignores the message of the original Grinch story. The Whos in Whoville still gathered to sing when all their Christmas decorations and gifts were stolen, because ultimately the holiday was not about material possessions. In this film? Christmas is dead without Stuff. Other than that, funny, feel good movie! I love the character designs! Joker was a hoot, and the idea of the villains kind of unironically seeing villain potential in Damian was funny and weirdly sweet.

I'm pretty mad at this movie and the reason is that at best we get very few DC animated movies per year and this year we 3 movies being devoted to a character assassination (beeing the rwby crossover or the baby's first batman trought time but with no plot) was frustrating enough. But having one of the usually 2 batman animated movies of this year being a xmas flick with nothing to do with batman really wraps the year in the worst way possible especially considering that "The doom that came to gotham" was pretty alright

I'm so used to the arkham franchise to the point where when I saw this and how light hearted Bruce was I cringed a bit.😂😂😂 Yes I understand they were trying to make it a Christmas story, making a animated version of arkham origins and calling it a kids movie wouldn't cut it. But they couldn't have made the decisions after something the brave and the bold or the animated series? Or brought some of the authentic actors back like mark Hamil as joker? Heck I even would have taken it if they signed Troy baker up for the role.

Except one where he's dead wrong, and it is so obvious I'm only pointing it out because I love hearing myself talk... er... type? _*ahem_ *That beard is **_fabulous_** and needs to be normal for Batman.* One can argue that it doesn't look right with the exposed face of the Batman costume, but all that does is strengthen the argument for Batman's costume fully covering his face.
