batman begins had a mythical element to it where the other movies went for straight realism. Scarecrows fear toxin, First fight at the docks, Stealth takedowns at the asylum. Batman really felt like a creature of the night

Am I honest opinion Batman begins is easily one of the best origin story for any comic book and superhero movie we get to see Bruce Wayne learn and trained and to grow as Batman we get to see him made mistakes I get to see him as a flawed hero Christian Bale is still in my opinion the best live-action interpretation of Batman and Bruce Wayne I don't care what anybody said about the voice but he understands the character more than anybody and he feels more like Batman from the comics

I loved how Nolan showed him as a monster to Gotham's criminals How they treat Batman as a fable, a camping in the woods scary stories under a fire among friends, and that they also believe hes an actual vampire/man bat (When one of Falcone's goons even suggested to Crane Batman really flies)

I wasn't really a fan of the Marvel and DC shows when I was younger. But by the time I was 13 or 14 I saw the live action movies, mainly the Spiderman and Dark Knight trilogies, when I actually became somewhat of a fan. I don't love them as much, but I do enjoy them every once in a while.

Honestly Although I GREATLY DISAGREE on absolutely EVERYTHING you said about The Dark Knight and Rises, have to agree on this been the best of the 3, despite many say is the Dark Knight......as a Batman fan, this one speak to me the most and give me what I wanted the most, a movie that treat Batman as the MAIN IMPORTANT part of the film and not the villains, also my favorite portrait of both Bruce Wayne and Batman in live action (we all know who is the BEST BATMAN so we don't need to argue that.....rest in power Kevin), I love Batman Begins and to me is still one of my favorite solo Batman movies.

I always thought Raz Al Ghul was a title in this, a symbol. So Wannabe was Al Ghul until he died, at which point Deckard became Al Ghul, then Bruce after him.

Batman Begins is my favorite Batman movie of all time. It's a great origin story, right up there with Spider-man starring Tobey Mcguire and Superman '78 and Wonder Woman and SHAZAM! and Captain America The First Avenger, The Punisher, Man of Steel. And back to Batman movies, a close second fave is Batman '89 and then "The Batman". My fourth favorite Batman movie is "Batman Forever". Just a fun movie. I liked Val Kilmer's Bruce Wayne better than his Batman. Great video.

This comments a bit long, but make of it what you will. 19:21, Considering in Bruce’s earliest depictions, he wields a gun and it being very easy to consider a time when Bruce did consider becoming a lethal vigilante or simply wished to learn the skills the League taught as a means to counter such skills in the future, it isn’t completely impossible to believe Bruce would join an organization with that name. But in this trilogies case, it takes a different approach to Bruce’s stance on killing (one could say a “grounded” take like almost everything else in the narrative). What Bruce is specifically against is being an executioner, or even more specifically than that, being someone who kills people who pose no physical threat to him or others. This correlates with Bruce’s journey in the film to learning to target the source of Gotham’s corruption (that being Falcone and Ra’s Al Ghul) rather than its symptoms (namely impoverished, desperate criminals like Joe Chill). Unlike Bruce, Ra’s and the League are indiscriminate in their wrath and vengeance, motivated purely by the same kind of hatred that initially plagued Bruce before Rachel scolded him for his apathy towards others and Falcone mocked him for acting invulnerable when he wasn’t. In the end, it’s Bruce’s empathy for the impoverished he encounters on his journey, understanding the desperation and struggles of others that instill Batman with more than just fury towards criminals, but compassion towards others, innocent or guilty, compassion Ra’s and the League lack. But in regards to Bruce’s decision to leave Ra’s to die, even subdued, Ra’s would remain a threat, with his capabilities and resources making him impervious to harm through legal means. If apprehended, he would either escape or be bailed out and allowed to attack Gotham again. “They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with.”, but unlike Joker, they are an army with all of Bruce’s capabilities and more. The only hope Bruce had to stop this immediate threat was depriving it of its figure head (which worked until Talia and Bane reorganized the League and attacked the city again, this time with a nuke). Bruce’s approach to lethality also continues in the sequels, where he spares Joker mainly because he had the means to subdue him whereas he was forced to kill Harvey due to being injured after failing to reason with him. He similarly indirectly kills Talia when he causes her truck to crash in an effort to get to the nuke she was attempting to let explode, another instance of him having to ignore the safety of his enemy in order to eliminate the threat they pose. And beyond that, besides Keaton and Affleck’s Batman (not only directly killed some of their opponents, but even enjoyed doing so at times) most other film versions of Batman indirectly killed their enemies in moments where they couldn’t control every aspect of their situation, such as Kilmer’s Batman throwing coins to make his version of Two-Face fall to his death.

First half is probably the best hour of the trilogy but for me the second half esp the climax with the train, is just kind of okay. It kind of reminds me of the climax of the first x men movie, like they didn't know how to have a satisfying narrative ending and just tacked on some action. TDK is clearly the best from start to finish but it is a different vibe from Begins.

As grim and decayed as this movie's version of Gotham is, I the The Batman has Batman Begins and even Batman '89 beat in as far asa the most crime ridden, most decayed version of Gotham. I would not want to live in Matt Reeves' Gotham. In Nolan's Gotham, It'd be hard, but I could make it..maybe. But now Reeves' version...I would get out of there any way I could. Even if I had to ride out of there via a garbage truck.
