I don't like the idea of romance being a reward. Peach kisses whoever saves her regardless of who it is (it's not always Mario). Flurrie was just overbearing in general. Every female ally in TTYD kisses Mario though, and I have to say Vivian is the one I ultimately ship him with.

Gotta keep in mind that peach is roughly 20 years younger than Mario 👀, and they’ve never officially been together romantically. A kiss on the cheek isn’t always a romantic gesture and can be considered a term of endearment or a way to show a appreciation to a loved one such as one’s father or brother. Mario is clearly interested romantically as he proposed to peach in odyssey but was rejected, this could be that peach loves Mario just not romantically.

You forgot to mention about something about Captain Toad: The reason he can't jump is because his bag he carries on his back, is so heavy with it's contents, that it weighs him down to the point he cannot jump. I don't remember where I heard this, but I assume it is officially stated somewhere, and I don't mean in a game, as I doubt it was said there

I love how you didn't even list a character for Paper Jam. Almost as if that game is sterile af and has no characters unique to what it's crossing over (other than Starlow who let's be honest is like the most tired and expected M&L character) The BIS remake actually has 3 unique characters that would have fit this list perfectly, the Best Fitness Friends who don't appear in the original. It says a lot when they can find places for brand new designs in REMAKES and not an original adventure.

Imagine making a crossover between two rpg series of a popular franchise with this being the chance for silly dialogue exchanges to happen between the two worlds and characters. Yet all you add are characters from the normal main series games and don't expand it further. Plus, acting like the old games don't exist and pretending that the fourth entry was its first game. I like to call Paper Jam "Mario & Luigi + Sticker Star" since that's all it really was.

Okay this is a fun idea for a video and the concept itself is super subjective, but honestly there are some problems with this video that I wanted to critique. I just personally disagree with most of your picks and apart of why is because you don't argue the reason for your choice and/or you didn't establish any kind of consistent criteria, such as what kinds of weirdness you were looking for. (ex. is this character weird by common sense, weird for being in Mario, or weird as a gameplay aspect) I wanna say you simply didn't put enough research into this video, but it feels more like the odd choices stem from something else. I noticed how nearly every chosen character apart from the koopalings is a supporting character, with no enemies or antagonists. Why is that? It really seems like some kind of ground rule given how many antagonists I can think of that are weirder than these supporting characters. For example, are the kings in SMB3 really weird characters when compared to enemies like thwomps, gravity defining slabs of stone with faces on them? Or what makes Prince Peasley and Queen Bean weirder than Fawful, a character who has way more strange traits and moments than the former. Maybe it's possible you didn't want to include obscure characters, but why would you then include the phantom hands. And like I said at the beginning, the more obscure problem I believe is that you didn't spend enough time arguing your reason for your choice or laying any kind of ground rules. You'd basically just introduce the character, list a series of their traits without going in detail, and move on abruptly. I think for the RPGs especially you should argue why you chose a particular character over someone else. And again, I can't be sure if you purposely gravitated towards major and supportive characters as oppose to minor and antagonistic characters so I don't know what to say about that other it's important to not only follow but also establish in the video the criteria. I'm sorry for going on such a long lecture and this is just my opinion. I've never made a video like this myself so for all we know my feedback is completely invalid.

Also, any Paper Mario games after Super do not deserve praise. After Super Paper Mario, Nintendo stripped the Paper Mario side series of what made it unique and set apart from the main Mario games: Unique characters to Paper Mario games being replaced with generic Toads and characters from the mainline games, stripped the game of it's battle system that worked well imo with the first two entries, in favor of boring gimmicky battle systems that get boring or a waste of time and resources after awhile, and stripped it of the RPG aspect of it. Origami King may be a game in the right step going foreward, but it still doesn't fix so many problems that started ever since Sticker Star got it's release and plagued the series ever since. And with Alphadream gone now, we likely will never see a new Mario RPG game again, as Nintendo no longer wants the charm and individuality the Paper Mario series had that made it so special in the first place. Now it's so dull and boring and a waste of time and resources. I'm not saying they need to carbon copy the first two games' formula, but at least give us actually unique characters across the game, and return the rpg mechanics and actual partners to aid Mario, which Origami King did not completely fix. Now, others can like those flawed Paper Mario games, it's just not worth it to me how much Nintendo made the series fall in a downwards spiral, in my opinion. And this is coming from me, a massive Nintendo fan. Nintendo must have known the issues they have with the Paper Mario series, and how much of a [insert censored word here] unfair pricing their upgraded online service is, as they made super sure people knew that the N64 Paper Mario game is on the upgraded online service... I love Nintendo...but I can't see why they make so much bad decisions with their franchises... even if somehow those mistakes earn them bigger sales...urgh...
