I remember when SpongeBob had plot. Old SpongeBob (example episode: can you spare a dime) Squidward gets fired because Mr.Krabs thinks he stole from him and lives on the streets untill SpongeBob offers him to live at his house. He gets used to not working. This proceeds him to take advantage of SpongeBob. When SpongeBob realizes this he learns he has to stand up for himself. He gets squidward his job back resolving the conflict. It’s simple yet effective and still manages to have great jokes New SpongeBob (example: this episode) insert some reference to a better episode. Have some guy lick everything. And Mr.Krabs comes in and says maybe you shouldn’t have a creepy guy come in and lick everything in the restaurant. Yep that’s the entire plot.

Sammy was voiced by Richard Ayoade, who is known for his monotonous and droning "Adenoidal" voice. In most appearences in public he maintains the dissaffevred persona of his character from I.T. Crowd. How much of this is affected isnt widely known, but hes sung before, and he was probably, by what we know of modern spongebob, he was directed to be annoying, or it could be that he cant help it. But that would mean he was cast to be annoying. Also, Sammy is very obviously a derivitave of Bert from merry poppins, with a thick Cockney accent, and passion for chimney sweeping. So that influences the musical nature of the episode, and the characters "wacky" antics.

I really like the voice actor for the janitor guy, im pretty sure it's Richard ayoade, he's in a couple really good shows and he's really good in those. I don't like him here though
