A few that deserve a mention: - On December 1st, 1993, Dennis Rodman had a stat line of 0 points (0-5 shooting), 0 steals, 0 blocks, 3 assists...and 28 rebounds. - On July 10th, 1932, Eddie Rommel had the ultimate pitching triple-double: 29 hits, 14 runs allowed, and 13 earned runs in a 17 inning relief outing. He also walked nine, struck out seven, and got the win.

About the Bettis game, I looked into it and there are 215 games were someone had at least 1 TD and negative rushing yards. However, they're almost all QB's, so most of them had three carries: a QB sneak from the 1 for a TD and two kneeldowns. The ones that weren't quarterbacks were from 30's and 40's.

NASCAR driver J.D. McDuffie started 653 races in the Cup Series, collected 106 Top 10s, 12 Top 5s, and finished 9th in points in 1971 all without ever finishing a race on the same lap as the leader.

Hardly obscure since it was memorialized in a Jon Bois piece, but Tim Tebow's November 13, 2011 performance against the Chiefs is a sight to behold. He went just 2 for 8 on passing attempts, and no, he wasn't the backup, nor did his backup come in. They ran 63 plays from scrimmage, and just 8 of them were passing attempts. And somehow, against all odds, this 2-for-8 performance was good for a 102.6 passer rating. Admittedly, he did have 69 passing yards, with one of his completions being a 56-yard TD pass. But still. 244 rushing yards (only 43 coming from Tebow), 69 passing yards, and the Broncos won, 17-10.

I remember when Tanner Roark was complaining about Harper getting walked so many times acting like they didn’t get 7 free base runners with the 4-6 hitters coming to the plate afterwards 😂

I think an even more fun, and equally more dead version of the pitching triple double is double digit strikeouts, double digit walks, and double digit innings pitched. At absolute bare minimum it requires 110 pitches over 10 innings, which are both things you rarely see starters do anymore.

A.J. Burnett's no-hitter against the Padres in 2001 was one better. 9 walks, an HBP, and every batter in the starting lineup reached base.

First off, loved the video. I wanted to add a few of my own odd sports stats for (maybe) the Part 2. Baseball: 1. Prince Fielder retired with 319 Home Runs. For nearly 5 years after Prince retired, the only other retired player to have exactly 319 home runs was Prince's father, Cecil Fielder. (Jay Bruce has also since retired with 319 career home runs. He should un-retire for one game, ask the pitcher to just throw him a meatball, and smack it over the fence to let the father/son duo be the only dudes at 319.) 2. In 2015, Max Scherzer became the first pitcher in 42 years (Nolan Ryan in '73) to throw two no-hitters in the same season. 3. In 1938, Johnny Vander Meer became the first (and, to date, only) MLB pitcher to throw consecutive no-hitters. 4. Since the foundation of the AL in 1901, only one pitcher has thrown a no-hitter with one hand: Jim Abbott of the New York Yankees no-hit the Cleveland [Redacted]s on 4 September 1993. Abbott was born without his right hand. Although he retired when I was 3, he will always be one of my favorite athletes. I'm disabled, as well. 5. In the 1968 and 1969 seasons, Team A no-hit Team B in a game of a series, then, the next day, Team B no-hit Team A. (Teams will appear in the order in which they achieved the no-hit bid, not in the order of 'being' no-hit. Also, in keeping with the consecutive theme, note that this happened in consecutive seasons.) 1968: Giants/Cardinals 1969: Reds/Astros

Regarding #2: first in the same _regular_ season, since 1973, you mean. Roy Halladay threw two no-hitters in 2010, a perfect game on May 29 and a no-hitter on October 6 (Game 1 of the NLDS). He is the only pitcher to throw multiple no-hitters in a season with one of them being a perfect game.

Weird editing in this video. Not sure why it's cutting to random unrelated b-roll so often. It's distracting more than anything. Showing random Pujols and Oneil Cruz clips, or just random NFL footage when talking about Bettis, makes no sense.

I didn't play organized basketball at any point in my life. And I was a bad pick up player on the rare occasion I did play. But I'd like to think in 28 minutes I could put up at least one of those stats shown in the Tony Snell section but accident.

8:09 If a player is overpaid, it's the organization's mistake, not the player's. I don't know any athlete or person in general who would argue for less money because they didn't feel they deserved it. Tobes is actually a good dude and shouldn't be hated because the Sixers inexplicably chose him over Butler. That goes for you too Jimmy.
