Agreed. I actually work in the field, EEG during sleep as well as the effects of pink noise on sleep quality. The quality of the EEG recordings are essentially useless, improving but still not great. I can tell you though that it's a step in the right direction and the more big companies invest in this stuff the better off we'll be.
@reggiep754 жыл бұрын
I've been hooked up to EEG loads of times for epilepsy and sleep analysis and was a bit 'Hmmm' when things weren't explained well by the practitioner/neurologist or I couldn't see the data on a screen to understand it then or when they said 'Move your left arm and clench your fist' and the info showed. There are little to no layman's terms when describing some things in life, you either look into it yourself (taking time) or just ask loads of questions or, even worse, 'What does this button do!?' but sometimes, simplifying results, like this product does, doesn't work.
@pawala74 жыл бұрын
@@reggiep75 Thing is, not even the technician knows what's going on until the data is analyzed. The raw readings typically mean nothing, aside from indicating whether a clean-ish signal is being read or not. Epilepsy is a bit of an exception since the readings are extremely exaggerated.

Super interesting. I was part of a study for an early prototype of this (I'm guessing, itlooks almost identical) by Philips three or so years ago. Idk if Philips ended up selling the tech to this company or what but the whole idea is really cool. The main difference is the version I was testing out also emitted certain frequencies at key points throughout the night to induce a much deeper sleep. It seemed to work well but I just hated wearing it every night. Now I kind of want to pull it back out and give it another try.

As a person with sleep apnoea I would recommend anyone with indicators of sleep problems see a sleep doctor and have a study done and not waste money on something stupid like this that doesn't actually help in any way. If you do have sleep problems PLEASE get it looked into, it is life changing.

4:30 charger police here. Micro B isn't the problem, it can change at 2+ amps. With Qualcomm quick charge 2 or 3 you can push over 20 watts down them too. Samsung's and Sony did this before USBC came out. The issue is the wall wart and the circuit are probably only rated for 500ma at most.

>Blames the slow charging on micro-B >Doesn't tell you the official power rating on the wallplug The cable means nothing for power draw. We've had fast charging for years, well before Type-C. Can Type-C sustain much higher outputs? Absolutely. Is 5 watts the limit of Micro-B? Not even close. With that said, if the power rating on the wallplug is low, then the intent might be to let it charge all day.

I had an app on my phone that tracked my sleep based on how I moved, which also woke me up during that “ideal time” which was really nice. I think I’m gonna get it again

30 seconds of that pairing is because of bluetooth protocol. That how long it takes for BTLE devices to hand shake and pair.

what good is a sleep analysis device if it can't even tell if you're sleeping or not
