@claire casey I think Melissa died of a broken heart also. Of the 3 boys, Christopher had the worst injuries! His manner of death was blunt force trauma. The other 2 boys drowned to death, but Christopher was beaten to death. For some reason, the FBI Profiler believed that Christopher was the main focus of the attacks, then Stevie Branch. It is believed that the third boy, Michael Moore, was not a target at all but was killed because he was a witness. He sustained the least amount of injuries.

@@rucianapollard7098 I talked to Mark once on Facebook many years ago. He seemed like a decent guy even though he's acted crazy for the cameras over the years, he finally turned around and thought the West Memphis Three (Damien, Jason and Jessie) were actually innocent and he didn't believe they were guilty anymore as he ranted and raved about for so long. We didn't really talk about the case. We just kinda BSed about life. I don't remember exactly what we talked about but I know it wasn't involving the WM3 case because I wanted to be respectful and not upset him. I was sad to learn that he had died more recently. @sheilamuse4560 Sheila, do you really think Terry had anything to do with what happened to the 3 boys. I know your family doesn't like Terry personally as I've read your affidavit in the Pasdar case. You may not like him for good reason but that's not good enough to say he did it. The evidence against Damien (Aleister Crowley follower) and Jessie and Jason is looking very strong as time passes. Damien living in the apartments right across from the pipe when he was younger and the 9 confessions (to even his own attorneys) that Jessie gave amid the many other things that lead right to those three, 18-17-16 year olds. Those 3 punks are guilty as hell and throwing shade at Terry doesn't do the 3 little boys (your nephew) any justice. Can you share why you think Terry had something to do with the murders and not the 3 that were convicted? They never should have been let out of jail IMHO...

They looked at Steve Branch’s stepfather, Terry. A lot of people still think he did it…even Steve’s mother, Pam. She no longer thinks the 3 teenagers did it. And Christopher Byers mother, Melissa died a few years back. It was considered “suspicious” and they questioned her husband, Mark. And Mark was also questioned about the murders (and this was after they had already sent the boys to prison for murder) and he denied being involved. And before Mark died in a car crash, he also said he no longer believed the teenagers were responsible. Seriously though, the boys (the victims)…it seems every person in their families were weird/crazy. I think it would have served everyone in their families and in that community well if they would NOT have gotten tunnel vision for the teenagers. They just refused to look anywhere else or anybody else. Just my opinion. And I agree…I hope Christopher, Steve and Michael RIP.

@@missyann7588 The 3 boys came from really poor backgrounds, just like the teenagers accused of killing them. It was reported that Stevie Branch was being physically abused by his stepfather, Terry Hobbs, and that Hobbs was sexually abusing his 3 year old daughter. Christopher Byers had serious behavioral problems. He was constantly in trouble at school. His school counselor had called in a social worker because Christopher exhibited signs of sexual abuse. In fact, he and Stevie Branch had been found behind a school wall throwing their excrement at each other!! Michael Moore seemed to be the only kid with little to no family drama. His mother was involved in a car accident where the other driver was killed, after Michael's death. For some reason, the FBI seemed to think that Michael was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and was not an intended victim. He suffered the least amount of injuries and actually drowned to death. Christopher Byers seemed to have been the main target of the murders. He was brutally beaten to death, suffering a crushed skull! He died of bkunt force trauma. Stevie Branch also suffered head injuries, but like Michael, he drowned to death. Only Christopher was beaten to death. The FBI didn't say why the believed that Christopher was the main target, but they feel strongly about it.

The state won't do anything because as far as they are concerned, the case remains closed due to the Alford Plea of the West Memphis Three. @@aihsanasl I do believe that 1 guy can control 3 8 year olds if the kids know him and he is an authority figure like a cop or an adult, a parent! I think the stepfather, Terry Hobbs, is guilty or at least a very strong suspect!! The muddy guy in the bathroom, I don't think was involved. He was just a dirty homeless guy. However, if the WMPD had done a good job investigating these cases, maybe it was him, but they screwed up the case, so we'll never know!!

@@rucianapollard7098 the person you called dirty homeless was covered in blood and he was in shock plus why would a homeless person covers him with mud? İf you say he just dropped into mud is just a huge coincide.

@@rucianapollard7098 if you're in the woods nobody can play the authority maybe multiple kids can trust if there are multiple cops on the other hand a stepfather appearing in the woods especially if he's angry would cause other kids to escape. How could one person tie all of them alone?

Thirty years on and still no closure. I've been following this story for a couple of decades. There have been a couple of movies made covering this event. "Devil's Knot". Also, a book by the same title, for those interested. The law enforcement in the small Arkansas town really messed up big-time. They were pressured to find the culprits, so they chose three teenage boys who were a bit odd for 1993. They had to close the case! One of those arrested, charged, and found guilty was Damian Echols who wrote a book about his time in prison entitled "Life After Death". Thank you Scott for putting up this nice video. I've always thought that as long as one person remembers you, you're never forgotten.

There was evidence that the boys did do it. Quite a bit. The problem is that the police fucked the case up so they went free years later. I actually think 4 people where involved 3 teens an a adult ring leader

Hi Scott, maybe someone who watches your videos that live around the area will be kind enough to visit the grave & leave something at the grave for you since you weren't able to find it. Thank you Scott for your kindness & respect. Many blessings to you my friend.

Thank you for this video, i admire how respectful you are to all of the people you talk about and the graves visit. I've followed this case for the last 20+ years and its heartbreaking on both sides, the loss of 3 young innocent boys (who were the same age as me) and also for Damien, Jesse and Jason. The case was botched from the start, from the contaminated crime scene, Jesse who had a low IQ and his 'coerced' confession which most of the interview wasn't recorded. If it weren't for the new bite mark and dna evidence that did not match the 3 teens, they would still be incarcerated. Originally they weren't going to agree to the Alfred plea, but only agreed to save Damien from being put to death. My money was always on Terry Hobbs or the unamed 'bloody' man seen in the Bojangles restaurant. There were also two other suspects Holland and Morgan, who both showed deception on their polygraph tests. Those 3 little boys deserved better, by finding the real killer and bringing them to justice. I still dont understand how liking Metallica and wearing black makes you a killer. RIP Steven, Christopher and Michael 🩶

I have had this documentary saved on my “to watch later” for a month now and I finally got to watch it. I remember when this all happened in 1993 I saw it on the news and have seen every documentary and news clip since (because I just couldn’t fathom this happening to 3 precious boys) and you Scott have done one of the BEST and most respectful documentaries I have seen. But that doesn’t surprise me as it is you and that is how you do these. Thank you ❤

Thank you so much for keeping these boys' memory alive. I always thought it was someone that was a trucker. It was right next to the carwash and it had to have been more than just one person, obviously. When I read something about the knots way they were tied was more of a sailor's knot. Now those boys might have known how to have tied a sailor's knot but I doubt it. So whoever it was that went into Bojangles I believe is the murderer. And that person was not alone they gotten their truck and they just went on down the road, pretty much on to the next. I remember this case because my children were the age of these little boys. And that cuts deep and it hurts. But Scott every time that you do a video like this you always bring a very empathetic and a respect that others don't. And I can tell when certain things really bother you and this really bothered you. I appreciate you keeping the memory of these little boys alive. Anyone that has had loss, don't ever forget to say their names. Thank you Scott stay safe❤✌️
