What Randy did was unbelievably awful and I realize that his art and animation skills weren’t the best, but am I the only one who thinks he had potential? He was completely self taught and it’s still better than what I or a lot of other people could do. I think he could’ve actually had a career doing something related to the subjects he was passionate about (not the dark ones, I just mean art or animation) if he’d gotten help. Also, I think condemning his “fans”/all the people who enjoy his work and/or relate to him in some way is just contributing to the problem that led him to turn to violence by making them feel ostracized. I don’t relate to him personally but I’ve known people with a similar mentality to his in his last year of life that did get help, never became violent, and came out of it happier and much more stable. I’m not saying he shouldn’t be criticized of course, just offering a different perspective than those I’ve seen.

As someone who has a soft spot for edgy, especially in the 90’s and early 2000’s, I can confidently say that there is a difference between edgy and cringe. The difference is that edgy can be funny, or even ironically cool. Cringe is neither. I can say without a doubt, that Randy Stair falls into the latter category more often than not.

There is a bit of truth in Randy also, he is not completely wrong what comes to "Matrix" and "dead ends jobs", of course his actions were unacceptable and in his battle between good and bad, unfortunately the bad won. Mental health issues should always taken seriously, no doubt about that. But I think he saw "deeper" than "many of us". I´m not saying he was genius or superhero, of course not, but he was intelligent and creative, kind of "feminine, unsatisfied" type without enough power ( mans ideal) , "laziness" is both good and bad, you need laziness in order to be creative, but you need also power to execute your "projects", to make ends meet so to speak, and he just gave up.
