Thank you so much for this and all your other videos; they are really helpful! And I love all the resources and tips you share here. Do you have any current videos about narration (any tips for a child who hates/refuses to narrate)?

I was wondering why youtube was telling me I hadn't responded and it turns out I responded from my other channel account! Sorry about that! I am copying that response here: I am so glad they are helpful! A video about narration is on my list of ones to make! It would depend on the age and ability of the child, but a couple ideas to get you started: start with very short passages - only a few sentences - and only for a short time. Narrating is hard! It helps to practice and work up to more. You could also have them do alternative narrations such as drawing what they heard or acting it out. I hope that helps! I will be working on that video soon!

@@juliaathome Hey! No problem at all. Thank you for responding and for your advice! I have been trying shorter narrations and it’s been helping SO much. You are absolutely right; narration is hard! (I am sadly only realizing that now.) I made the mistake of following other CM advice stating that narration just comes naturally to kids, which stressed me out because I was wondering why it wasn’t working for us. Would love a video about narration - looking forward to it! 💜
