I get it. I’m fast. I just think a mtb is for enjoying the back country and doing it on human power and loving the trip. The sights the sounds and the effort. I’m 61 now riding a Remedy and it just smooths out everything and allows me to take it all in. Without hurting. Just my two cents. Started mtb’s in 1980. It’s a way of life !

Strong riding Reese - congrats on that FKT! 💪 And great storytelling Pros Closet. It's been a fun fall season watching all the FKT'ing going down from our multi day "Funnest Known Times" trips out there. Cheers!🍻

White Rim in a day is no joke. The fact that it's a jeep trail can leave you thinking it's basically a gravel road, but 70% of the terrain is rocky, bouldery, sandy, and the climbs are like shark teeth. Despite being at lower altitude and having less vertical feet to climb, it seems pretty comparable to the Leadville 100 in difficulty... only there are no aid stations, no places to stop for water, no reception, and no way out once you drop in.

Nice video and great effort ! Now you need to go back there and fight to get the QOM back

@@dr.joshstevens9852, it kinda does; everyone can see the Top 10 times, so if you're up there, you can always see where you stand in relation to the rest. Those of us further down need to pony up to see where we are in relation to everyone else.

@@MiserereMei Right, of course... it would be a cool incentive to 'reward' top-10's or K/QOM holders or local legends with free or discounted Strava access. But, you're right... they kinda already do :)

Incredible! Awesome story. Curious to know about the reach gear. xc bike or more trail style? Aside from food, what spare parts and tools did she carry? Want to do this as lightweight as possible.
