That amp sounded like it was running some pretty high gain even without a distortion pedal, sounded like the Fender tube amps I've had once I'd been playing them LOUD for a while, they start to distort like his did when he hit the pedal and played "clean" during the break.

@@whirving Spot on. It is from the guitar boosted by MXR Micro Amp into the Silvertone and Fender amps. Early on they toured with just the smaller/lighter Fender Silverface amps, which have a more brittle and bright sound, and late on mainly two Silvertones with a Fender, which sounded loud but a bit muffled. Here, there's one of each and it's absolute sonic perfection.

What’s funny though is you can clearly see at 2:20 she messes up and he has to cover for her. This was a regular occurrence, Jack is just literally too good it doesn’t matter. Not saying Meg wasn’t great, but it is super interesting going back and watching these sets with those little moments in them.

Not disagreeing she messed up tho in a performative sense I just think it was a miscommunication on both parts that worked out poorly in that one transition. It's candid tho and is all part of what makes the white stripes so great

Genius doesn't necessarily mean complicated, quite the contrary. Not just in music, if it's simple and works perfect, it's great. it's not like Seven Nation Army is a complicated song. I taught my six year old to play the chorus on acoustic in two days. Still it's one of the biggest and most known songs of all time.

Jack White is one of the best guitarist to ever live. Not just this song…the man can play anything and everything. Very rare talent. You will not see real musical artists in today’s world. Just a lot of singers, silly song writers and perform mostly on image. Please God, bring real music (like this) back and throw out the trash we are listening to now.

A universe worth of energy, chemistry, timing, and original creativity, not to mention mind blowing color coordination. Every one of their videos leaves me awestruck. By far my favorite 2 "man" band. Jack White is a brilliant genius, and Meg White is absolutely adorable. Great drummer.

Say what you want about Meg’s drumming skills but she’s rock steady and the perfect counterpoint to Jack’s frantic style.

Uh... I don't think you know what "rock steady" means. She has a very loose sense of timing that's all over the place, which is why she was a good pairing with Jack White's "unique" rhythm. Steady drummers are folks like Dave Grohl, John Bonham or Charlie Watts. Trying to put Meg White in that category is like saying Wal-Mart is a high end department store known for wealthy clientele and expensive merchandise.
