The director of the recent whitney biopic said she wasn't going to sign on if they excluded robyn from the film. She said she is around the same age and knew them very well (from a distance). She got the chance to meet them both when she pitched a film to whitney and saw robyn babysitting krissi in the next suite in the early 90's. She said she clashed with Pat and Gary who were not too keen on robyn's portrayal so they had to compromise. At the end of the day (while it wasn't a great film) the world got to see that robyn was one of the few people that had whitney's best interest.

@Myloveisyourweakness her husband gary hates robyn and her mother in law is currently indifferent after finally acknowledging that robyn was a good friend to Whitney and turned out to be ok (after years of making robyn's life miserable.) Pat once said she was told by the family that the hate for robyn dates back to the 80s when whitney moved in with robyn. She said the family felt whitney was too young to move out and she left cissy alone in the house. I guess they felt robyn influenced whitney.

@@Msk-wb1yg hmm. So in short Pat doesn’t have a mind of her own. It’s clear as day (to us at least) that most of the people In Whitney’s camp disliked Robyn because 1. They tried to use her and she wasn’t going for it. 2. Her sexuality. If anything they should’ve been happy that Whitney had a friend like that. Speaking of Pat, I’ve heard that Whitney told Pat that she felt betrayed by Robyn. I don’t understand that. If she felt that way because of Robyn’s departure then she shouldn’t have because her and her gang made Robyn’s life a living hell…

@@Saveyourtears_daniright. Her family was a piece of work honey. In regards to the betrayal thing I feel like Whitney may have felt that way because in her mind Robyn fell short of her promises but… so did she. Those promises were transactional and should’ve came with conditions..you can’t treat me any kind of way and still expect this stuff from me. This ain’t how that works. The way she reacted in interviews Alone when Robyn was mentioned would’ve made me side eye her if I were Robyn not going to lie. Some of those responses were straight up insulting.

@Myloveisyourweakness I totally agree with everything you said. I honestly feel pat is indifferent when it comes to robyn cos she didn't know her like that. Her loyalty is with her husbands family. She and the fam appear to still feel some kinda way about whitney's romantic relationship with robyn which is why they prolly clashed with the director.

If you put their past romance and future entanglement issues to the side these two had a real 'ride or die' friendship'...and that's what I love about them. That kinda friendship is very rare.

I had a strong bond and friendship once in the 9th to the 10th grade . When my parents got divorced and I had to move our friendship slowly faded apart . Also, I had my mind set on my school work and where my future was going . She would literally chase guys and that was more important to her as she got into the 11th grade. I still think about her from time to time . I hope she's doing well. I'm sure your life is taking you where you should be. You're beautiful !

I had to rewatch this. This time I took notes. The first thing in your video that caught my attention I would comment about was the riw boat. A question cane to mind when you mentioned that Whitney wouldn't row the biat when Robyn got tiered. I wondered if she was trying to relive that moment with Bobby on an episode of BBB. She and Bobby got into a blow-up boat and Whitney was rowing. Secondly, I don't believe the breakup with Robyn was about "going to hell" Whitney knew about the bible. She had been in church all her life. But maybe she was convicted and the timing though was just too coincidental. Because she was truly in love with this woman ( Robyn ). Oh side note: No one ever says anything about how similar the names of Whitney's husband and her woman's names were, Robyn, Bobby aka Robert... Anyway. Back to it. Third, He momma knew she was or had been in a lesbian relationship and ir was bisexual. In spite what she told Oprah. Her mom been knowing about that and the drugs because Robyn's mom called her to tell her about Robyn's and Whitney's drug use and the way she taunted Whitney the day she was moving out on her own with Robyn. I do think that was out of hurt. I think Sissy felt betrayed by Whitney. Whitney had another woman doing things she wished she was there to do for her daughter. If Sissy was jealous of anyone I think and strongly believe it was Robyn. Robyn not only had Whitney's heart but she had her body and her trust. Four, Robyn was more of a whitness of the love of "god" to Whitney than anyone ever in her life because she loved her unconditionally. A love Whitney wanted but couldn't give. Five, There's an IYBT interview that shows Whitney sitting like in a window and shes talking about love and falling in love. After seeing this again I realized she was talking about Robyn. I was confused at first and wasn't sure because Bobby was somewhere in the picture. But I'm sure now because that interview was in 1990 the time when Whitney was trying to be more open with Robyn.... If you watch thst video you'll see. U would write more but it's too much. I see a lot more now. What an interesting life she had. Things I love about her.... She's funny, she will out you in your place. HER SMILE! Whitney could be having a very bad hair day and face nit made up looking like desth on a stick and all she had to do was smile. She truly has a Billion dollar smile. It could change a lot. My heart truly grieves for her. She struggled. She really did. ❤

Robyn had Whitneys best interest regardless. She held her together, and even Bobby said the same thing. They had a beautiful friendship/connection, and I often wonder if someone in Whitneys inner circle sold her out to the press about her and Robyn. I often wondered that growing up, because the Fame magazine interview didnt happen until 90s, but the rumors about them started in the 80s
