I don't just live, I thrive. I wear my lovely blonde, graying hair waist length, straight and sometimes in a braid, I still camp, fly fish in the breathtaking streams and lakes of the Pacific Northwest, I still travel with my little dog anywhere I please, completed two cross-country trips 4 years ago...one year apart. And yes, I remember everything.....I do yoga, daily meditation and if I ache, smile, I see my acupuncturist.....and best of all, I still have a lover, best friend. The one I fell in love with when I was 16 years old. Yes, he does the above things with me. But it's not required.🥰.... he's still managing, owning his own landscaping company that he's had for many years, with a large crew...some friends for over 30-40 years. If he's busy, which he usually is in the summer, I go camp, get a little peace, me time in the woods...well my ShihTzu with me. And I play this and other familiar music out there. I hope we both live to see so many great years together. Did I mention he plays the hell out of a couple+ Stratocasters' Being gray is a blessing, as I've now learned.... doesn't mean your soul can't still feel the music 🎶 🤣 🐦✌️

Pete Townshend is the best composer, not just the best guitarist of his time. The perfect company in that voice that defines how a rock singer's voice should be is Roger Daltrey. Keith Moon is the paradigm of a rocker attitude, as well as the perfect drummer and John Entwistle is the virtuoso musician, who did the best job a bass player can do. This results in not only perfect songs, but masterpieces that will never go out of style, such as Love Reign O'er me. And many others.

I fell for one once long ago. I knew him for 3 weeks and never got to see him again. All I have left are my memories and those were so hard to ingrain in myself lasting memories. But I have a few. What’s more than that is I have his son. More like the sun as he lives and breathes. I am more blessed in my lack’s than most of you are in your richness. But a good bassist really can’t be heard anyway can he? Les really takes over a song and I like bass that doesn’t overcook my musical eggs. Fun.

I'm just gonna say, this is still in my opinion, the best song ever created. Even transending multiple genres of music. Its the only song I know that has interchangeable lyrics, that adapts itself to everyones thoughts and struggles. I feel like this song encapsulates all the anger, sadness, hope, courage of everyone who has ever lived into one song. And I feel like this song is truly represnts the meaning of life, which is love. Not just in terms of relationships in friends and family, spouse and such (that would be too cheesy of an answer), but the love of oneself and the love of living life is the answer to all. That will to continue on, no matter how much life tries to Not. We will all go through bad time, good times, but the most important thing is we know how to persevere through it and process the emotions. We all need love to survive, otherwise life is meaningless, no matter how old you are, 18 or 80, we need that will to carry on with grace, and not let life turn us into what a young person needs to avoid and what sadly many old people act like. Which is bitter. Just had to put this here. This song speaks to me in ways other songs don't.

@@josephineknight1739 Me too, been out today with a few youngsters from work and there was a live band at the place we were drinking, playing the Who, Kinks, Clash, Jam, Stranglers etc. They couldn't believe how good it sounded, all tapping along. I pointed them in the right direction I hope! 😉

Hearing it on the radio too often I had forgotten how deep of a connection I have with Quadrophenia and this song in particular. Until the other day, at random I decided to play it on my drums. Then it all came flooding back. I was 14 when it came out, and this album, with Keith Moons performance as a guide, I learned to play drums. A couple of years later my high school girlfriend gave me a St. Christopher medallion with Love Reign Oe'r Me engraved on the back. And my mom was a saint for putting up with all pounding and crashing for all those years!

Comparing love to cool thirst quenching rain when you are hot and parched. The intolerable drought of being alone and away from your lover and the longing to get back home to the cool rain of love.

This tune has always reminded me of a young Roger Daltrey running bare-chested through a field of hay during a rainstorm. A prayer of exceeding joy, gratitude and love is upon his lips. Love reign over all of us. Heaven knows we need it!

This tune is so emotional. I feel it deeply. Of course, I’m from Cincinnati so I think of those fans who perished.

Auto tune, no such thing here. Just pure talent. One of the best rock vocalists in their era. Wish we had some of that talent these days.

Pete and roger... roger was the perfect narrovator for every word peter put to paper. The combination of the two of them was deadly... epic songwriting and legendary delivered performance. Nothing nothing but an emotional tornado of expressions of how townsend feels. This song always leaves me in tears.🎉

album came out in 73. singles from this album were The Real me, 5:15 and this. All good songs. this us the best. The best playing of the Bass is The Real me. Entwistle really kills it there.

This album is an absolute masterpiece. Probably the best rock album ever written. It needs to be listened to in its entirety to really appreciate how brilliant it is. Set aside some time, put on your headphones and listen. You will not be disappointed. THEN, watch the film. Faultless!
