@@basedgodstrugglin @mcj88 You have to recall, they only see what the cameras can see. Also, they are trained to not call attention to the worst possible outcome because that's too grizzly for most folks. It's a censorship thing, but also a common courtesy thing. You also have to report who won the race, and try not to make out like someone just got killed. It's not realistic but at the same time, society dictates "how things _should_ be". If you want to blame someone, blame society on that.

What makes that so bad is that you can clearly see Edwards get loose and it slowed him down and that's the only reason Keselowski made contact with him. If he doesn't get loose that crash never happens. Then for him to nearly kill Brad. What a joke. Edwards is a fraud of a human.

I've always been a huge Edwards fan and sided with him through all of this. Mainly because Brad had alot of trouble with some other drivers, I believe it was Hamlin who actually called him "Crashalotski". But I have to admit, I gained a ton of respect for the way Keselowski drove this year, plus originally being a Rusty Wallace fan, I loved seeing the #2 win the Championship.

Edwards comes off as a sociopath. Rubbing and bumping for the win is one thing, but outright turning someone is when you cross the line. Edwards shows no remorse for what he does and does not care at all for others so long as he benefits.

Brad went high and Carl blocked him. Brad then went low knowing that Carl could not block him again as NASCAR had clearly stated you get one move. Brad fakes high then goes low. Carl takes the fake and moves high and then Brad goes low for the pass. Carl chose to come back down on Brad hoping to either kill his momentum, get Brad to go under the yellow line or get Brad to back off to avoid a wreck. Brad held his line to avoid another Regan Smith type loss and the result was the crash.
@thomasg248810 жыл бұрын
Yeah, because Keselowski cut across Edwards nose at Dega and sent him in the fence and Edwards has flipped out ever since. Oh wait, I think EDWARDS cut across the nose of Brad and ever since, Edwards continues to be upset over something HE caused. That's always been Edwards problem.

Every NASCAR driver I've ever actually liked has retired from the sport by now, so allow me to throw my unbiased opinion in the ring... Talladega 2009: Racing for the win on the last lap, Keselowski makes a move to the outside, which Edwards blocks. Keselowski then pulls a crossover to the inside, which Edwards tries to block, but ends up wrecking himself in the process because Keselowski was already to his inside (Keselowski clearly does NOT turn to the right until after he and Edwards make contact - he only turns to the right to avoid an already-spinning race car coming across his nose, you morons). Fault: Carl Edwards. Memphis 2009: Keselowski runs into the back of Edwards while going down the back stretch and spins him out, in a race where Keselowski had been a wrecking ball all day. Not much else to say about this one. Fault: Brad Keselowski. Atlanta 2010 Part 1: Edwards attempts to move from the middle line to the inside line, despite Keselowski already being to his inside. He wrecks himself again, and seems to somewhat admit fault in his interview, but obviously he was thinking otherwise... Fault: Carl Edwards. Atlanta 2010 Part 2: Edwards, now running dozens of laps down following the earlier incident (which again, was his fault), comes back out on the track and proceeds to hunt down Keselowski (who is on the lead lap in 6th place), and intentionally wreck him in spectacular fashion on the front stretch in retaliation for the earlier incident (which, AGAIN, was Edwards' fault). This should have been the end of it here, because as far as I'm concerned, Edwards should have been suspended for multiple races, if not the rest of the season for his actions. You don't intentionally wreck a contending car when you're running dozens of laps down with a wrecked race car. Fault: Carl Edwards. Gateway 2010: Racing for the win on the last lap, Keselowski makes a move to Edwards' inside, visibly gets loose, and bumps into him. Both cars nearly spin out, typical racing deal. After both drivers maintain control, Keselowski makes a clean pass on Edwards in the final corner, which Edwards responds to by intentionally hooking Keselowski in the right rear as they come off the corner. Keselowski spins in front of the field, is violently hit by two other cars, and several other race cars are destroyed in the ensuing melee. Once again, Edwards SHOULD have faced a lengthy suspension (and considering his previous actions at Atlanta, criminal charges as well) for his actions, but didn't. Fault: Carl Edwards. Final score: Carl Edwards at fault for 4 out of 5 incidents, Brad Keselowski at fault for 1 out of 5 incidents. Save for a relatively inconsequential incident in the Memphis Nationwide race (Edwards recovered to finish on the lead lap in 6th place after the spin), none of this was Keselowski's fault. Period. There was also an earlier incident in a Nationwide race at Las Vegas in 2008 where Edwards and Keselowski were side by side racing for the lead, and Mark Martin got into one of them from behind and both of them ended up spinning out. Despite that being NEITHER driver's fault, Edwards refused to speak to Keselowski afterward. The inexplicable hatred Edwards had for Keselowski dated back way before Talladega in 2009, and only Edwards knows why he felt that way about the guy for so long. I blame the roid rage, personally...

+jkrish 48 Yeah, criminal charges idiot. When you intentionally ram a 3300lb weapon at someone traveling 200mph, it may not be attempted murder because intent is hard to prove, but it's *certainly* Wreckless and wanton disregard for that person's life, which is fully punishable under the law. Baseball players use bars in very close proximity to the other teams catcher. Sometimes that catcher gets hit; that's _just baseball_. If a batter takes that bat and whacks the catcher upside his fuckin noggin; that's _criminal battery with a deadly weapon_, whether in the middle of a baseball game or not.

I'm gonna make my say about this. Unbiased. 2009 Talladega (Sprint Cup): Ya know what? Nobody is to blame here. Nobody really "wrecked" anybody. Brad was at the low line, and Carl went to block. It was just bad timing. Had Edwards simply moved a split second earlier, he would have won the race. I say it's a simple *racing deal.* Clean hard racing to the end. Best part was that nobody got seriously injured, fans and drivers alike. 2009 Memphis (Nationwide): Bump and run gone wrong. Simple as that. *Brad Keselowski* essentially turned Edwards, even though it wasn't intentional. I'm amazed of how Edwards managed to correct his car with no damage. That thing normally would pancake the wall head-on with several pieces of scrap metal if he over-corrected too much. Remember Jimmie Johnson's hard crash in Charlotte 3 years later? 2010 Atlanta (The Instigation) (Sprint Cup): Yet again, Carl times the block wrong. But unlike Dega, he really didn't suffer as terrible damage as that race. Simple *racing deal,* plain and simple. Poor Joey, by the way. Got involved in that mess. 2010 Atlanta (Edwards strikes back) (Sprint Cup): Lemme tell you, those roof flaps did fuck all back then. But aside from that, what the hell, Carl? That was so deliberate it's not even funny. Brad became the 3400-pound Neil Armstrong and pancaked that wall, _ceiling-on._ Thank god he was okay. This was all *Carl Edwards'* fault. 2010 Gateway (Nationwide): This is so obvious is doesn't need addressed. *Carl's* fault, _without question._ I'd seriously like to wonder who in god's name would actually defend Carl's actions in this race. Because Keselowski simply drove Carl up... I'm sorry, I didn't realize that Dale Sr did that every race he ran. He deserves to get wrecked for trying other methods of passing to win a race. Don't even start with the "BK wrecked Edwards thrice before" argument. Because two of them were just racing deals in which Carl timed blocks wrong.
@polycube8683 жыл бұрын
Back in 2010 I would have defended it as I was a big Carl Edwards fan and hated Brad Keselowski because of the Memphis incident, I also cheered when he flipped Keselowski at Atlanta, but now I'm very ashamed I was ever a Carl Edwards fan, I'm glad Tony Stewart beat him for the 2011 championship, he's a far better driver, and so is Keselowski the champion in 2012.
