Having been a supporter since 1965, I am always amazed at the Arsenal fanbase and its constant desire to find the negatives, rather than the positives. Up front in this, is the desire to see Havertz fail simply for a "I told you so" mentality which is crazy when one considers that this desire is in no way conducive to seeing Arsenal succeed. Instead, it's a selfish mentality that will bring about another failure simply for personal gratification. It is high time our fanbase began to stand in unity and start supporting the club in a positive way. Only in this way, will we as a club, be successful.

Are you well at all? What part of fans' comments contributes to a player's skills set. What hogwash? Fans comments are a function of the players performance and not the converse. The player performs b4 fans comment. Kai is bullshit and remains so over the last 5yrs. He's bonkers as a footballer. U'd say I told u so. He spent 3yrs at Chelsea, He's young, Chelsea is building a young team, yet he was sold. How do u explain that? Only one reason, He's garbage ditto Mason Mount and you've seen that in their new teams. No football person doubts that. Take it to the bank AFC will, same as with Pepe, write off this £65M in 2yrs time. Bullshit!!!

I don’t see a single positive from this market. Would love you prove me wrong but all I see is a significantly smaller squad. When what needed was more depth. Let’s look at the incomings: Rice (great singing) Timber (out all season) Havertz (has been playing premier league football 3 years and never showed anything impressive. No one even knows what position he plays) We’ve got Timber & Partey injured We’ve sold Tierney and not replaced him so have 1 left back in the entire squad and Zinny is notoriously injury prone and can’t defend Sold Xhaka and not replaced him Sold holding (say what you like about him but we are still a man down) We have 2 strikers. One is injury prone (Jesus) And Eddie is notorious for missing chances Saka has played 86 consecutive games because he doesn’t have a number 2 and we’ve refused to sign back up. We’ve somehow spent 205m and have a significantly worse squad going into this season than we had last year

@@Sh0rtsYT super analysis. Exactly my grouse with all these KZbin football tacticians spewing garbage here. Man City went for Rice to spur a bidding war knowing AFC were desperate for a midfield enforcer, so as to exhaust their pocket and did just that b4 backing off costing us £105 fir a £60-70M player. Meanwhile look at their recruitments; instant fit and immediate successes. How is that too tough for some commentators here? @@Sh0rtsYTwhat a load of nonsense. Timber got injured its no one's fault. We signed Rice a world class talent. Kieran was like 4th down the pecking order behind Timber, Ziny, Kiwior & Tomi. @Sh0rtsYT Жыл бұрын
@@fonyuytata did I blame the injury’s on anyone? No- but injury’s happen every season. Injury’s cost us the title last year So obviously the goal in the market should have been to add strength in depth but we done the opposite. Kiwior has made 9 appearances for us. Let’s not pretend he’s better than Tierney Tomi is also injury prone. And neither of them have a natural position at LB. Havertz isn’t doing okay- if you watched games you’d know that. Most players would be given the benefit of the doubt and we’d expect them to get better But Havertz isn’t a young player just learning the ropes and he hasn’t just joined from overseas. He’s been less than average in the PL for 3 years now. He’s came in as our highest paid player and is coming under fair criticism. Nothing you said proved me wrong. We’re a weaker side this year than last.

Great video, I keep telling people. Arteta wants his squad to learn many different types of style and tactics by heart so they can switch vs easier opposition and harder oppositions. Vs easier, expect this possession style and this starting 11. Against tougher opponents. I expect Arteta to rotate the squad and play the football brand from last year. Last year, too many injuries and it was hard to continue that form with putting that much effort. Arsenal we’re gassed out on empty towards ladder end of the season.

Great video! Really informative, I totally agree, experimentation is important and it's part of the next steps to take Arsenal to that next level. I may be missunderstanding but is the idea that your CBs push out wide and then make runs? Hypothetically if Partey rotates into the midfield from RB, White pushes out. Is it then expected that white moves up the pitch as a RB? Essentially leaving a single CB for coverage with a LB?
@harveygration Жыл бұрын
From whichever side we invert, it will be the opposite side actually that the outside centre back finds joy on the overlap or further forwards (White outside Saka when we invert the left-back for ex). Thanks so much, very kind of you ❤️

@micah0190 Жыл бұрын
If the RB is inverting then the RCM has to overlap to compensate as White won’t be able to. Odegaard struggles with this so it doesn’t make sense playing him as a RCM in this system.
@thearsenalmisfit2414 Жыл бұрын
The new formation is giving the club more possession, but it comes at a cost. With Partey there is no one to do the overlap with Saka, and because Partey is not so far up the pitch it is LeavingEatingand Odegaard with more defenders to take on because White isnthere to help out as he is now a CB. As for the back line, it is not as stable as last season when Saliba was playing. White is not the defender that Gabris and with White playing the right side it means Saliba is having to play the less comfortable left side and it shows. Also having White playing RCB is is slowing our ball progression from the back line down as White is hanging on to the ball far to long. It won't be long before our opponents start to put real preasure on him to make him cough the ball up in a very bad spot on the pitch. This formation has dispite more ball possession has made both the right side and back line less effective. Giving it more time will not make any difference Partey is not Ben White and can not do the things he does aswel , and White is not Gabriel or Saliba so he will never be able to do the things they do as well. For this to work Arteta will have to find a replacement for Partey and sit White out as Areta feels that White can not be an Inverted RB. If we don't beat United this weekend the title is already over, City look much better than the beginning of last season. It's time to go back to what we know and just figure out who the L8 is hoing to be, Rice or Havertz. If this is just experimentation then one has to wounder why it wasn't done in preseason to see how it works instead of trying it out when it matters and unnecessarily drop points to a much inferior club.

This new system Arteta seeks to implement, I feel like he is implementing it wrong. To effectively execute this system you need atleast one direct midfielders who can drive with the ball into space pacey attacking fullbacks to stretch the pitch and act as extra wingers or ball carries( inverting in midfield to progress the ball) . Arsenal don't have enough direct attacking midfields and we don't have any elite ball carrying fullbacks apart from Timber. No really attacking fullbacks to drive the ball forward from the flanks causes Martinelli and Saka to have to drop back to collect the ball and if the fullbacks do come forward they aren't direct enough so Martinelli and Saka end up having to come inside to open up space on the vacated wings or stay wide to draw players to open space inside ( which makes no sense as Havertz and Odegaard don't drive into space). The best position for Saka and Martinelli are in the half spaces in the final third in behind the defence. This is where they should be receiving the ball and attacking fullbacks act as extra wingers forcing them to push inside more and thus they can receive the ball in more favorable positions where they are through on goal. To facilitate attacking fullbacks Partey, Rice and the cbs form a box in the defensive midfield with the CBs to thwart counter attacks while the LCM and RCM press up higher . The formation below in attack( 2-2-4-2 or a 2-2-2-4/2-2-6). G.M Saka 🔴 🔴 Vieira /Trossard ESR/M.O 🔝. 🔴. 🔴 🔝 🔴. 🔴 (Insert LB). (Insert RB) Partey. Rice 🔴. 🔴 Gabriel Saliba 🔴. 🔴
@harveygration Жыл бұрын
When we are talking about instant progression though, bypassing the second phase…of course carrying is important (and that’s part of what Rice will provide). But in terms of instant progression from what I’ve seen it’s a ball played to a staggered front 3 (one duel winner, and two second ball winners on on one side, with a free man high and wide). I remember distinctly when Pep said this structure defeats any team, and De Zerbi has also said this 2 + 1 cluster, if used in tandem with a technical back line is the most effective way of breaking a side down now. Arteta hasn’t inverted BOTH full backs at the same time as of yet, but he has played a 2-3-5 where Timber and White stayed wide vs Barca. But like I said, this team, this set-up is for City, for the UCL, for when it gets tough. In my opinion anyway :)
@jordandavis3867 Жыл бұрын
@@harveygrationOkay bro. I see what you're saying. I was just critiquing this particular new system, which by the way I'm not a big fan. I've always believed the best way to win leagues or dominate teams is with control. Controlled posession and controlled attacks. Minimize the opponents ability to threaten you. How do City do it? By passing the ball about a thousand times. I'm not saying Arsenal have to do that but Harvey we give away the ball too many times. I also believe in controlled but efficient attacking executions rather than a number of chances being created with very few goals being scored. I believe too many attacking options confuses a team, instead just have 1 target man on the pitch at a time and structure your attacking patterns to facilitate that target man using passing combinations, line splitting passes and clever positional play. I'm fascinated with tactics and have come up with some of my own. I would have loved Arsenal to play a 4-2-1-2-1 system with fullbacks that can invert and also add width in advanced areas, a false 9, one attacking midfielder, one winger either Saka or Martinelli playing that Henry type role being out in wide positions and coming in to receive the ball in that half space in behind the defence like a striker, one box to box and 2 Holding DMs to control the midfield. Saka 🔴. Odegaard 🔴 Tross. White 🔴 🔴 🔴Zinny Rice Jorginho 🔴 🔴 Partey 🔴 Gabriel Saliba 🔴. 🔴 If you look at my setup Zinchenko the left back inverts into midfield. Trossard drifts onto the wing and Ben White positions himself on the flank in a more advanced position. Odegaard (The false 9) drops into midfield with Zinchenko, sucking in defenders, Saka who takes up a wide position can now drift in. What do you think? I've modelled it to be a hybrid of De Zerbi, Pep and Wenger's system. Numerical superiority and Positional play (City), mixed with a 2 man forward line where one acts as a false 9 dropping into midfield and the other comes in from the flank(Prime Wenger tactics i.e Bergkamp and Henry ) and the efficient exploitation of space (De Zerbi).
