I'm glad you like this movie. This is based on the first book of a trilogy, so the foundational work is there if it does get the attention it deserves. It's also one of my sons favourite books. I will say I'm a little disappointed that loudwing, the goose that taught brightbill in the book, appears to have been taken out, but I am really looking forward to seeing the movie when it opens here on Saturday.

I hope the movie does well, I think it does tell a complete story here but I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing these delightful characters on screen again. I think you’ll have a great time with it when you get the chance to see it. I would love to hear what you end up thinking of it!!

@@kaneeddy I think the movie is visually stunning, but caters too much to the idea kids can't hold their attention for more than 30 seconds. The jokes are funny, the story is great, but it's probably better to watch if you don't know the book. To add conflict they delayed the development of the animals relationship with Roz, which in turn makes less sense when they band together to fight for her.... Basically they dropped her developing the relationships to put more emphasis on brightbill having struggles to develop. It makes sense from the point of view of the medium - book vs movie - but I wish they'd kept it closer to the book. That said, it's still a amazing movie with an excellent soundtrack and I'm looking forward to seeing the sequel!
