With respect, Judy Gsrland’s versions of “Over the Rainbow” (original film version and concert version) are the untouchable standards of singing artistry. Watch some KZbin video discussing the technical prowess with which she sings - she had natural voice control no one else has been able to master - and could make grown men men weep in live performances as she wrung every ounce of emotion from the song. I think Sydnie is great. Don’t get me wrong. But Judy Garland sang that song in 1939 and we still listen to her version 85 years later. Name another song from World War II that’s still heard today and still sings contemporary. It’s a singular performance. Thanks.
