Nobody's talking about how the first race sinces ages without any DRS was possibly the best actual race in recent seasons. Drivers where going for risky overtakes instead of just waiting for a DRS zone to pass in a straight line. Ricciardo's last season with RB showed how DRS is giving more overtakes but that's not necessary better for spectacle, ric had passed the car infront 12 times only to again lose the position due to DRS. The whole race is about getting DRS to make a pass and newer drivers have become overly reliant on it so much so that it hurts the "showmanship" that the FIA cares for so much. This race remonded me of older seasons, sitting at the edge of the seat, cheering for every spectacular/risky overtake, every strategy gample, everything... I hope newer generations of fans see this the same way, this race was absolutely amazing.

1:43 Max is right regarding favoritism. Max cursed in a press conference = community service. Charles used the same word in a press conference = small fine. Max got 10 sec for leaving the track and gaining an advantage while Norris got 5 sec for the same thing one week earlier. Norris got away with a broken off start bet driving anyway. It was dangerous because there were people on track removing a car from track. I'm sure Max would have gotten a penalty for that. When Max won the race, the British media even didn't attend the press conference. Don't you see the pattern?

In my opinion, the quali should have been stopped, 5 crashes in quali are unacceptable. That being said, I get why they did not want to postpone them, they had already done it, and besides, Verstappen was out and Norris potentially in pole, FIA would have been dumb not to try to get a Abu Dhabi 2021 2.0. That being said, Norris got what he deserved, he got handed everything, ruined his teammate's race by claiming the last fresh pair of tyres for the Q3, got a sprint win from Piastri, the position in the race (the less about the eternal S.C in the sprint, the better), and all this, to finish 6. Hey, just got this video recommended, and I like coming across new F1 creators! Nice video!! I'm one of those people who got into F1 because of DTS (I know 😅). So I'm not really a fan of any one team or driver -- I like Max, Oscar, Charles, Carlos, a smattering of other drivers -- but maaaaaan am I disappointed in McLaren overall this year. Max is trying to buoy the CC basically by himself with no help from Checo, and McLaren could still very well lose the CC to Ferrari if they aren't careful. And then, goodness, where to begin with the DC? The fact that Max is probably going to win another championship speaks to his skill, of course, yet also speaks to Lando's total bottle job this season. Max isn't even operating at nearly the same level he was at last season, but come on, it isn't "just luck" to go from P17 to P1. I just don't think Lando has the champion mindset, and he's not helped by a teammate who could have it and a team that can't get its act together! If Ferrari and Charles somehow overtake McLaren and Lando in the respective championships with three races to go, I'm going to both laugh and die a little inside haha. I thought Brazil was mind-boggling. Watching Lando go from gaining points on Max to losing so many potential points was a ride all on its own. Nevermind everything else that happened in this race! Yes, the whining is always annoying, no matter who, but Max does have valid points about the FIA and British media. Seeing how LeClerc can say the F-word without consequences (good for him btw !) and how clearly biased Herbert is still allowed to be a race steward and how Norris violating safety rules at the start (potentially endagering stewards) is apparently not as bad as saying the F-word - just examples from the last 7 days - the inconsistency is pretty clear.

Let me simplify the red flag situation… When a car is hit in the wall, you don’t need 40 seconds to wait for a red flag (like in q2), when max was behind Norris and people crashed, how long did the stewards wait for a safety car? when Norris was behind max and someone crashed was it the same time or was it shorter??

Everything from the race was stacked against Verstappen but he succeed, his racing was the best and he wants to win again, against everything, He is the F1 driver. Playing with the rules to the limits, because he knows he is fighting against a great car without help from the FIA. The race was long, with red flags that made it a really tiring experience, but that's just f1. I think you should have put the RB results as great, but the results of Yuki as not so great in the race, if he wants to replace Checo Perez this was his time to get great results, Lawson had a great defensive session and he did really well holding that 10th place.
