4:11, is so fkn true, I started working out in January, i only started seeing the real results NOW, like the end of October, and i can feel my body wanting another change and so i gotta lock tf in another month or two. When people look at me now, i tell them, my "Winter arc" started in January. I was complaining to the homies in May about not seeing results, and finally started seeing real results in October, and now I'm amping it up, working out seperate muscle groups, and i feel progress week over week.

Im glad someone finally said this. Being in a slight surplus and making consistent progress throughout the year is superior to a rushed bulk and cut where you don’t even retain most of your gains.

Everyone does things at their own pace. For some people it takes time to make things a habit/lifestyle so I personally don’t see anything wrong with it. They may start saying “winter arc” but once the winter is over they may have adopted a new mindset. I get what you’re trying to say, but I think it’s much more constructive to congratulate, and then encourage those people to do more. This is the real world, everything for everyone doesn’t have to be so extreme and anal. If it’s healthy I think you should allow people to believe in whatever they chose to believe without criticism.

I personally expect big results in my life by 30 not 21 or 22 , I know real self improvement is a long game not sum 1 or 2 year thing

tangentially related but, I use new year's resolutions as year long goals. giving any shorter of a time period doesnt allow for a sizable goal plus time for planning and prep. and they're more "fun" or skill based goals. last year was watching a new movie every week (failed, maybe 1 new every 2-3 weeks). year before that was cooking a new meal every week (did 2+ new meals a week, it was dope). some other year was listening to top 50 albums from 2010 to 2019 (succeeded, super dope). this year is making 4 indie game prototypes (succeeded but not the way i thought i would). things like body goals being put on a timeline makes me more self conscious than anything. would rather do what i can when i can and celebrate big wins when they happen 💪🏾

why do you guys care so much how people get motivated outside of doing a dreamer bulk into a cut which sucks; but motivation may be temporary doesn't mean you cant find new goals afterward to continue. I got really fit due to being motivated because I was going to do a cosplay in which I needed my shirt off, after I was in shape for it I just had new goals including the consistency.

Agreed at the end of the day if it gets people to want to better themselves nothing wrong with it.

being shredded is so overrated bro. I have abs but some bodyfat but i look like i lift in clothes, i dont see the point in cutting lower than 15 percent unless you compete because if you're natty you just look tiny

Yeah being shredded year round is very difficult and honestly, probably not enjoyable for most people. I’m cool chilling between 13-17% body fat.

L video, the Winter Arc is where most Men strive to become better and without it, our character development wouldn’t flourish.

Why only strive to become better during the winter arc? Is self improvement just a seasonal thing? What happens when the “winter arc” is over?

If you have to wait for a season to let character development flourish you have bigger problems to worry about. Stop letting fitness become your whole personality.
