It is a total non starter. As soon as you put people of colour in shows based on historical Britain then you lose all immersion. It is just a representation of the actors in Hollywood and nothing to do with good tv.

I couldn't agree more. Just about everything that made the book great is gone. Especially Nimue, and Merlin's, characters. While Merlin's race swap is disingenuous and silly, that's not what ruins his character.

This is true, although I didn't mind the change. It makes Arthurs exile more dramatic - he would have only been banished for like 6 months otherwise.
