​@andrew9371 just take a look at his videos before the Feb 2022 invasion broke loose, while every "professional" media outlet wasn't even aware of the situation at all or ignored it, it was his knowledge spread that had me took action warning my former English teacher and let him just in time safely got his family out of Ukraine (Zaporishya, the town where the children hospital was destroyed in the first days feb22) and expecting the worst case , made me such sure that literally on the 24 of January I ordered my first SK4 (VPAM BSW7) plates , despite me beeing not particularly wealthy and those plates are already worth a tremendous amount of money for me , since then haven't missed any upload and haven't ever regreted stumbling on this channel🙌🏻

CSs traditionally made SOS from chopped chipped beef, milk, butter, salt, and pepper then served over toast. According to the Cook Book of the United States Navy 1944 “Creamed Sliced Beef”, as it is formally called, the recipe is as follows:

Ingredients: 7lbs of dried sliced beef 5 gallons of milk 1 quart of melted fat (butter or lard) 2.5 pounds of flour .5 ounces of pepper 100 slices of toast Method: Cut beef into small pieces. Heat milk to boiling temperature. Blend together fat and flour to a smooth paste and stir into milk. Add pepper. Stir in beef. Let simmer about 10 minutes then serve over toast. Note: Soak meat in warm water for 15-20 minutes if too salty. As this recipe is desinged for a ship’s crew (in this case 100 servings) it may not be convenient for at-home cooking. To become a CS in your own home galley, use the following recipe that is broke into four servings: Ingredients 1 can of chipped beef/beef slices (or 1lb of ground beef if preferred) 2 cups of mil 1/2 cup of flour 4TBS of butter Dash of pepper 4 slices of toast Method Cut beef into small pieces (or cook ground beef) Melt butter on medium heat Once butter is melted, add flour and combine until a thick paste forms Slowly pour in milk and whsik until smooth (sauce will thicken) Add pepper to taste Add in chipped beef and stir to combine Once thick, serve over toast Note Rinse canned beef if too salty The higher the fat percentage in the ground beef, the more flavor. If a leaner beef is used, add some beef bouillon to increase flavor. Now the important question, is it good? Sailors, both current and retired say it is! A quick internet search will yeild hundreds if not thousands of recipes. This thrown together recipe is a favorite comfor food among sailors, veterans, and civillians alike. From galleys to home kitchens, SOS is a Navy classic for a reason.
