The ending gave me a huge case of the feels when i replayed it after playing Wild Hunt. It feels like a companion piece, almost like a Witcher 3.5, but in reverse, 2.5. Also the Letho cinematic is peak Baginski. Cant wait to see that guys film!

one of my best experience in videogames was that moment in witcher2, when u were protecting the king (iirc was a king) with a sort of magic aura of protection in the middle of a big big war, that moment was something rlly amazing, rlly unique, never experienced something like that.

I agree I'm playing the Witcher 2 now for the first time and I'm absolutely blown away how this game aged well. Plus I'm Polish so the writing, npcs texts swear words etc are so funny:)

I want to replay Witcher 1 and 2 specially when I'm near finishing the books! Witcher 2 is still impressive! I love to see a new Witcher game that make the exact events of the book that you can play as many characters and explore every inch of the story written in the book series.

Your travels and the journey you take part with Geralt of Rivia is memorable and unforgettable from the beginning of The Witcher 1 to the Witcher 3 series. The people you meet with befriend or end up clashing steel on steel is a lot more fulfilling and meaningful as a whole. By the time you make your way to White Orchard looking for the two most important people in your life but also take up the sword in what may be Tameria's last hope for survival to see another day is legendary. A story for ages to come. I certainly hope that in the next installment of The Witcher series is no less than what we the fans expect. Thanks CD Project Red. :)

Witcher 2 is Definitely still a top tier witcher game. Sure its not as perfect as witcher 3 but it's still enjoyable to play

Flotsam, to this day, is still the most beautiful piece I've visited. I mean, Ard Skellige was gorgeous but Flotsam oozes personality!

Just played this recently. It's ok if you're used to older linear games. There's a lot of roaming around smaller maps but it's ok if you love the story.

Just completed Witcher 2 I love the story line. Picked Ioverth's path and finally gave a chance to Letho to live. But I thought to kill Letho with his dialogues " I would have killed you Geralt" I thought to fight with him but didn't 😄 Awesome story and I loved it.

W2 has problem with counter attacking which is more needed than in w3, also signs are very weak in 2, and enemies are too much spongy. Thats why when i played w2 last time added those bonus armor sets from the beginning so it was much more enjoyable to play. Overall good game.
@LastKnownMeal2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is a minus for sure, takes a bit to get used to it or well since it doesn't work well

I play it now and then on the base Xbox one. Runs well, is a little murkey. It would be nice if they remastered it for current gen.

Do you know how to make Geralt turns more smooth as it was in the Witcher 3??? It looks like he can turn only in 15 degree at once.
@ZrodyApo2 жыл бұрын
The only thing I don't like about this game is that it forces you into a romance with Triss even though you romanced Shani in the 1st game

Do you use any mods when playing?? Im trying to play but the combat is so horrible for me, i even enjoyed Witcher 1 combat more.
@LastKnownMeal2 жыл бұрын
I did use before some quality of life mods but I didn't really mod it hard. This gameplay is vanilla without any mods

the core of games (witcher 1, witcher 2) are great. They just need remake boost. Hopefully CDPR will underatand that

To me The Witcher 2 is the best out of the 3 games. I love The Witcher 2 and it's my favorite in the series. I prefer it over The Witcher 3.

I love Witcher 2 but I don't like how spongy the enemies are and it's linear not an open world RPG. Also I hate Flotsam, I have to force myself through that part of the game, it's such a dump.

But it’s combat still sucks tbh. Mainly down to the broken hit boxes. Oh, and going down the alchemy tree is basically pointless since you can’t drink potions during combat.
@LastKnownMeal2 жыл бұрын
Animation transition and fluidity is much better in W3, when it comes to alchemy not really, its very much useful if you play on higher difficulties, you prepare for the fight and thats it, although drinking potions mid combat does have its benefits.
@ryanelliott716982 жыл бұрын
@@LastKnownMeal my problem with alchemy is 2 fold. 1 - the timer of the option continues even in cutscenes. And considering you can’t drink then mid combat 2. I don’t think it can’t be understated how not being able to drink during combat is. Especially when you only got like at best 10 minutes of its effects. You have to basically memorize where every enemy is. Cause if you don’t… all the time you put into the tree was basically for nothing. Even though there are great bonuses later on, who’s gonna suffer that long just for those bonuses?
@swapnilmakur2 жыл бұрын
@@ryanelliott71698 Took me a while to adjust from witcher 1 to 2 battle mechanics and potion/alchemy but after a while you get used to it. Yes, the potion timer counts down while in cutscenes, but as you said if you know when and where the enemy will come, you can prepare beforehand easily. Also you can extend the duration and benefits of potions/oils in the alchemy tree. I generally go the alchemy tree with a few points in swordsman and magic. I prioritize skills that give vigor points and generation first. For swordsman tree position and riposte are a must. And as for magic enhanced quen.
@milosstojanovic46232 жыл бұрын
@@ryanelliott71698 its straight from the books, he prepares and uses potions before fight. Though i agree, potions (alchemy) are extremely weak in w2, only with much later upgrades they are worthy. As Swapnil said i invest in vigor and in regeneration, i think there is also upgrade for counterattacking or something to do with combat, forgot what it was, but its a must because Geralt attacks are very weak and especially at higher difficulty.
@dwitsha2 жыл бұрын
I still think, that 2 is easily the weakest title. It lacks in story, atmosphere, gameplay and feels like an overall downgrade from 1. Whenever I replay the trilogy, I'm very disappointed coming from 1 to 2. There are some nice aspects such as preparation, which, even though it was better in 1, is still better than in 3. I think the contrast to 1 makes the game far less enjoyable than it actually is since 1 is like a 8/10 while 2 is more like 5/10 (mostly bc of characters like Roche and Iorveth).
@niko9312 жыл бұрын
Dead wrong
@dwitsha2 жыл бұрын
@@niko931 why?
@milosstojanovic46232 жыл бұрын
Wrong on almost everything, IT does not lack in story, atmosphere (thats especially good in w2) and gameplay. How can that peace of crap combat from one have 8/10 is beyond me. People tend to just ignore things that are bad because they are biased, or just straight up made up things to suit their point of view. Shame
@dwitsha2 жыл бұрын
@N7Andy I remember disliking 1 when I first played it, bc I played 3&2 first, but after playing all three a bunch of times, 1 really started growing on me. It just has a certain charm that no other witcher game possesses. It's also more subtle in its storytelling (until the mutant army towars the end at least) than 2, which plays like blockbuster for consoles with overly bombastic scenes and an oversimplified gameplay system. It retained the preparation aspect of 1 (which 3 sadly abandoned) and improved graphics and character design, but other than that, it moved from a pretty well-thought-out combat system, that could be annoying at first but is definitely interesting, to left- and right-click spamming. The ending of 2 feels rushed and unfinished, but that's something that keeps every CDPR game, even 3, from reaching its full potential, so it shouldn't be that surprising. I think though that CDPR noticed 2's biggest flaws in storytelling and went back to a more down-to-earth way of storytelling since 3, like 1, felt more like actual medieval times with a few, but important, fantasy elements
@milosstojanovic46232 жыл бұрын
@N7Andy 3 especially is only 'vibrant' in colors (most of the time) but definitely NOT in atmosphere, dont know what the hell you played. There is rasism, war, poverty, monsters, curses, ghosts, plague...and thats definitely not description of NONE dark and gritty atmosphere.
