If this modding tool is anything like Witcher 2's Redkit it will include a world space engine tool as well as full editing capabilities to mod all the existing assets and cells. So this news has been long awaited and there are a lot of ppl eagerly salivating for a Redkit3

Yeah, put on-screen as they confirmed it was a reworked REDengine 3 that is used for the game itself. So should be full blown mod tools.

My last gaming rig was upgraded for TW3 @1440p. Now I have a new rig, built for 3440x1440 gaming. I played TW3 before the big changes occurred. (In fact, I remember loading a save and it telling me that only a New game could be enabled. something like that) Since I got this ultrawide monitor I've started out simple, playing both FO3 and presently in NV. I've felt like I'm teasing myself for not jumping into The Witcher again. It's been a while and I only finished one time, including the New Game+ setup.

Playing Witcher 1 and 2 is a labor of love. They’re both great games but the gameplay can be weird and janky. If you love the Witcher, as in the characters, the story, the atmosphere, they’re definitely worth it. But nobody could blame you for skipping over either of them (especially the first one, but thankfully it’s getting a remake!) The Witcher 2 is definitely a massive improvement over the Witcher 1 but it’s still got its faults. But one of the things I really like about TW1 and TW2 is the emphasis on pre-battle preparation. It makes you think and plan strategically. It’s definitely more authentic… Geralt isn’t drinking potions or applying oils mid-battle. Makes knowing what you’re fighting a lot more important. But the bosses in TW2 leave a lot to be desired. Witcher 1 I really loved. The atmosphere is on point. It was really fun… but you need to have the patience to deal with a game that really hasn’t aged well.

Please do not mislead people into believing that using GOG will result in a smoother modding experience for Bethesda games, just for a few bucks. As a modder, I know how challenging it can be to create a mod that works across multiple platforms. This is precisely why most modders do not support GOG, and you can always block updatese on steam.

That is entirely false, so not sure where you’re getting that information. You are more than likely thinking of the Xbox/Game Pass & Epic Games versions.

@@Apoqsi A good chunk of SKSE mods do not work with GOG. For example, True Directional Movement, one of the most popular mods, does not currently support GOG; however, Textures, Meshes, Music, quests mods, etc all will work.

@IvyProductions Again, entirely false. Unless it's an outdated 1.5.97 SKSE mod (which doesn't work with the Steam version either without downgrading), then it works just fine with the GOG copy. True Directional Movement included. You are either getting it confused with another copy or have very outdated information.
