I've always felt that the writers were setting up Ciri to be the successor of Geralt as the main character, especially at the end of The Witcher 3. This is a very natural transition from my perspective.

Pretty sure theyre referencing the time in the books when yennefer teaches ciri how to conjure magic and spells by pulling the earths energey, similar to her pulling the water and creating ligtning from it. So by my memory that was her using her mage powers and not a witcher sign.

She’s gonna have Witcher signs and also use Source spells so we’ll have way more combat options when it comes to using magic. The game director said Ciri’s skill tree will be deeper and more varied than W3s to give us a greater degree of customization over how we choose to play. I’m assuming they came up with a plot device to nerf her Elder powers so she’s not OP, she never used her teleport ability agains the monster. Reckon it’ll be something like “the Witcher mutations severed some of her elder abilities” or “she sacrificed her elder abilities to defeat the white frost.” Looking forward to finding out!

If I remember correctly Ciri did not go through witcher mutation. Instead she learned magic. So she went through all witcher training but she was not actually fully witcher. Also Geralt mentioned that only witchers can drink the witcher potions because they go through the witcher mutation. And in trailer Ciri is using witcher potion. Also Ciri is OP. Are we sure that she is Ciri?

People who harp on about the combat being this blight on an otherwise phenomenal game always ring weird to me. Sure, is it a little lopsided? Yeah. Did it achieve what it was going for in realizing the art of a Witcher's more dance-like motions and knack for dexterity, though? Absolutely. Plus, there was a lot of cool depth with the oils and manual sword-switching (if you chose to play with it on) that was neat to me and many others.

I think all she said was "if this game has good combat it will be sick". It was a off the cuff comment while doing a live stream reacting to TGA. She didn't say TW3 combat is crap, or god awful, or even give her actual opinion on it. Though it's obviously safe to assume given the context she probably at least feels the combat is one of the weaker aspects of the game. Either way though you're acting like she said the game is a complete pile of crap. You can still have criticisms about something and still like it, or even love it. And even if she didn't care for TW3, so what? OMG some person having a different opinion about a *video* *game* than me, how do I handle this?!?!

I mean at the very least there's been enough time that she's gotten new clothes and a Lynx medallion for example. I don't know if you thought this was DLC or something and took place during The Witcher 3? But it's not. Think like God of War. Kratos didn't have a son in 3 but time had passed and events had happened in-between 3 and 4. Do you get what I mean?
