I do not take credit for the movie or the music. I simply just merged them together. A tribute to Pink Floyd The Wall.

"The Great Gig in the Sky" is by far the most compelling evidence for the synchronicity phenomenon. I highly doubt that Pink Floyd could have done this intentionally with the technology available at the time. I prefer to think that there may very well be a higher power that has a fondness for stoners and out of boredom one day decided to blow their minds.
@giggles7179
@giggles7179 Жыл бұрын
And consider this: What's more impressive, the fact that Pink Floyd could have somehow crafted this album in time with the movie or the fact that even in scenes that have little-to-no orchestration, "The Wizard of Oz" was filmed and edited with a rhythm and tempo that could make this phenomenon possible? We always ask the former question when the latter is even crazier to consider.

Like a baby staring up at a baby mobile, which ironically is what one remains by being dazzled by the show. We are vessels, or cars, by today's vernacular. What drives you? The synchronicity keeps going.. and going.. and going. It has always been right in front of us, which is the big joke; we were looking right at it, but we didn't know. We perceive the reality that is presented, it's true.

It’s amazing how the movie reaches the point where the tin man is gesturing to his chest and commenting that he has no heart just as the album is ending on the heartbeat. What’s even more amazing is if you begin playback of the album as the lion roars the third time and jumps from the rock, as others here have mentioned, the album ends on the heartbeat just as the Wizard is pulling the heart out of the bag to give to the tin man. Both versions are remarkable, but when the lion roars the third time is better. When the airport explosion occurs in the album, Glinda’s magic breaking the wicked witch’s spell is cast and it begins to snow on them while they’re sleeping in the field. The album offers the perfect soundtrack this way. Right as “Money” begins, the screen explodes in green in the emerald city. It’s crazy. You don’t even need drugs to experience this. I’ve never found anything else like it ever. How did Pink Floyd do it?!

I don't know what songs are on your Dark Side album, but mine doesn't have songs like "Wish You Were Here" or any live tracks. Whatever this is was a good try. Some things do line up. Play any album with any movie and you'll have that. But, like I said, this is wrong. It gets even better than this guys. Yes, in 1972 Roger Waters took a DVD of the movie and synchronized it with the album on his macbook. Just the idea of someone considering thinking that the band really thought about doing this (already disregarding the fact that it would be impossible, given the technology and the band's schedule) I know that this person thinks that Dark Side is about LSD, outer space or any lysergic idiocy.

The original story was supposed to be an analogy over the issue of money towards the end of the 19th century. Farmers on the Great Plains wanted "soft" money, they had great politicians with great speaking skills - the most famous of which was William Jennings Bryant, who's greatest speech was the "Cross of Gold" speech; Bryant was the Democratic candidate for President 2 or 3 times (losing each time). Conservative Republicans wanted "hard" money, i.e. based upon gold and silver. So the analogy in the story is the great orators of the Great Plains were "tornados", that lead to a distorted economic reality (Oz) (note Oz is the abreviation for ounce, which Gold is often measured in). The way out of that distortion was hard money, gold, i.e. follow the yellow brick road. Now, the problem with hard money is its based on a relatively fixed supply (the amount of gold in the world circulating at the time), which is deflationary. The Great Depression was a deflationary recession. As the Great Depression illustrated, deflationary recessions are much more painful than inflationary ones. In reality, the solution to the crisis of money was the creation of a central bank, the Federal Reserve system to manage the money supply. However, the FED's response to the Great Depression was to make the money "harder" which means, they shrunk the money supply instead of expanding it, making the Depression worse, harsher and more long lasting than necessary. Japan and Germany were the 1st countries out of the GD (1932, 1934) respectively because of "loose" money and deficit govt spending on munitions. World War II was directly caused by the Great Depression. The Fed learned its lesson, and is careful about managing money supply during recessions. One final irony is that this movie came out in 1939 - at the end of the Great Depression and right when WWII was starting. Art immitates life.

The insane thing about this is that in 1998ish when I was trying to figure this out, we were going thru all these different versions of the movie and had one with extras playing. I happened to turn on Hendrix's Band of Gypsies and each time the scarecrow fell along the fence (they bent like a boxing ring), Hendrix bent his string on a note that exact amount of times and simultaneously perfectly in sync.
