The moment I saw the first trailer for WW I knew it was time to log off for good. It’s sucks. I have my very first character that I made back in 2005. All the hours played, all the adventures, all the memories now done. All good things I guess.

Came back after having a break since the end of legion and the onset of woke felt slow at first, pretty 50 50 cast. 5 minutes into the story line and all the male characters are either dead or useless (anduin). I used to like alleria but now shes just a whiny cow who makes me skip cutscenes. Her new model looks bloody awful as well and there was no need to change it either. The Harrowfall main character is a DEI jackpot. The horde has also been gutted of all personality since they pulled the horde warchief is the bad guy too many times. Thrall just felt like he was hamfisted into this expansion so horde players can't get salty about everything being alliance centric, only for him to do sweet fuck all once the intro sequence was over. I don't know why they insist on holding on to the same main writers for the last few expansions, they've been universally cringe

There's nothing wrong with having loads of weak male characters and strong female characters in the game. But there IS something wrong with ONLY having loads of weak male characters and strong female characters in the game. When EVERY male character is presented as passive, full of doubt and frail, while female characters are out there getting shit done and being slay queens, yes, you can always justify it by the in game lore, but when it is this one sided it is hard not to see it as a deliberate decision rooted in ideology, especially given the current cultural climate of California. The problem is not necessarily that male characters aren't assertive, but rather that I, and I think quite a few people, have gotten the impression that male characters aren't ALLOWED to be assertive due to the political leanings of the modern WoW writers. After all, if a man were to be more assertive than a woman or outright tell her off, that could be construed as threatening or as mansplaining, and we can't have that now can we? With that said, Metzen did also mention in that interview that he only came back 10 months into the War Within development, and with him also teasing the return of Illidan, who knows. If nothing else, from what I've seen thus far, War Within does at least seem a tad less preachy and on the nose than Dragonflight, so that's something. I guess we gotta count our blessings where we can find them, eh. And I do have a hard time imagining Magni, Anduin and Thrall being passive and depressed for three expansions straight so surely, sooner or later, something has to happen with those characters, right? ... Right? Great videos btw. PS: In fairness, I should mention that Khadgar saving Alleria is kinda old school. It definitely goes against the whole "She's a strong woman who needs no man to save her" mentality of woke. I mean I could believe that's the work of Metzen, whereas if Danuser had been at the helm, Alleria would've likely saved herself, all while Khadgar'd be sitting in the corner crying hugging his comfort animal. PSS: Another reason I'm slightly optimistic about War Within is that I think there was a deliberate attempt on the hand of Danuser to retire a lot of male characters, such as Anduin, Genn, Malfurion, Khadgar, etc. And while some of those retirements have stuck, others like say Malfurion was undone in a kinda weird fashion which made their retirement make little to no sense. On that note, I think it's plausible that Danuser's initial plan was to kill Khadgar off, but looking at the actual cinematic, I think this was changed and instead he was only ported somewhere. I don't think he's actually dead.

More than half of the Arathi in quest zone are black, ALL of "bad Arathi" bosses in dungeon are white. It's a statistical impossibility that it's not intentional. Do blizz employees know white guys invented the computer, microchip, first video game, the cars they use, the wheel.....everything in this world. Also when people talk about "minorities", realize that white people are the world wide minority. Woke is not a symptom of bad media, its a symptom of less white men creating. Which has been planned by a certain grp

@@TruthSayer-s3i I haven’t done the dungeons so cant say I’ve seen that. My focus has been more on the cutscenes. I wouldn’t lump white people together as one group, because I think that is an over simplification. I acknowledge “all white man bad” can be a troupe in woke media, and I think saying “all white man good” as a reaction is going too far as well. I would prefer those things not be considered by the writers at all.

After Wod, pretty much every important and major character or faction leader is female. I have no problem with having fearless female characters and leaders, but that shouldn't be at the expense and the lack of male characters and leaders. In TWW, we have Alleria kicking ass while Khadgar the goofball is either dead or he's going to show up again after some time. We also have the wimpy Thrall, the depressed Anduin and the all powerful and strong Jaina. The majority of male characters in WoW are unreliable and look like simps.

Despite how poorly written i think the characters are, having some strong female characters is okay. But men still play this game. Not including them, or treating them like trash comes off as very tone deaf and self satisfying for the writers.

If you like the gameplay, I dont agree, but I am willing to let that pass. However, everyone should get a refund and an extra paycheck for having to play through this awful story.

@@casualbeardguy Well, if you ignore the story... which is most of the content...then yes, the classes are smooth and dungeons/raids are fun. (based on my DF experience)...but I don't play just for end game content...I play for a wholistic experience and having dei/esg shoved down my throat is a negative experience. I game to escape all this crap irl.

The Hero Talents are actually good, specially some visually (mind you this will soon flip on its head when the gimmick cannot compensate for the numbers sucking, think of covenants not really giving you choice). Some of the game mechanics are great, I do like lighting the beacons of light without being drown out by Elune lore 24/7. I say all of this, and you can actually like this expansion solely for that if you ignore how bad the story is. However, even if you do, you _will_ play with a guilty conscience for allowing what you can interpret as DEI to win. Because we have taken a huge win with Concord recently. But so long as things like Woke WoW continues to be mediocre because everybody _but_ the story development continues to hit it out of the ballpark? It'll be fuel for these practices to thrive. In fact, and this might scare you for the future of Warcraft Where do you think all the rats of the sinking Concord ship are going to apply for a job next...?

I also thought it was weird AF when the Earthen all become unbound with nary an objection. Baelgrim would be spinning in his grave if he saw that shit. They also seem to pushing this subtle idea that anything related to Order is just as bad as the Shadow. Like the Priory of the Sacred Flame or the Titans willing to murder anyone who doesn't do what they say out of spite I also noticed that the leader of the unbound was a bearded woman and instead of having the two learn from each other it's implied she was right all along. The stupid man just had to get onboard.

I know a lot of people feel they are going with the light is bad narrative at some point, which I think is a bad direction and a deviation form the original concept. If they mess around with the morally grey stuff too much, then there will be no pillars to base morality on. And of course girl boss can never be completely wrong, just misunderstood or overlooked.

Third out of three of these videos where I disagree. Man, you are a glutton for punishment! I agree with you that this type of story telling probably isn't going anywhere and I think its great. I hope they keep it up. Best wow storyline since Legion. Anyway, can't wait to check out your next one!

Good to see you again lol. I thought Castle Nathria was cool since legion, they honestly should of made Denathrius the main villain for that whole expac. He wasn't really a complicated character, just an evil badass. Maybe I'll win you over in the next vid.

Been playing since release, had a lot of fun, but this garbage, i am done. Blizzard can do whatever they want with their game, but not with my money and time. Good bye World of Wokecraft.
