There's a lot of mistakes like that in this movie. Most movies have a guy for that who's especially hired to keep track of how previous shots were shot, but I guess they didn't have that person for this movie for some reason.
@TheShapingSickness7 жыл бұрын
JMcGrew22 it does hhahaha
@matheusvillela91507 жыл бұрын
Most movies have that sort of mistakes. Scorsese's tend to have more because he lets his actors improvise a lot and the editor he usually works with, Thelma Schoonmaker, doesn't care that much about continuity.

It seems like Leonardo forgets his line, one of the guys screams it in the background and Leo repeats it without breaking character. Not sure if thats the case, but I love the scene exactly how they made it! No wonder they kept it
@ThompterSHunson6 жыл бұрын
Maybe it actually is. There are more scenes like that in this movie so that's why I think it's possible. The scene that Mcconaughey is starting doing this weird Mao-Mao chest-hitting thing and the rest crazy stuff you can actually see that in some point Leonardo's looking at his right (behind the camera) to Scorsese which obviously he tells him "keep it running". The editing is kinda bad in that part because they wanted to keep those scenes. Amazing movie, top-notch acting. A true (dirty & raw) masterpiece IMO And yes, that line is epic. It stuck with me for years! I say to people _"from the book motherfucker, from the book"_ with no reason just to see if they'll get the reference 😂

M's Compositions They left it in for that very reason. It appears that Leo forgot the line and was just echoing the person in the background feeding it to him (who clearly didn't have a mic). The scene was unintentionally authentic so kudos to the editors for leaving it in.

What I don't get about this business model is that since it's an OTC brokerage selling penny stock, how did they sell to larger, more sophisticated investors who would see the scam a mile away? Most Pump and Dump orgs. sell to people who are largely uneducated about finance, but a savvy investor, or even an average investor would know to stay a mile away from something like this.
@チャーリーブラウン-w8l8 жыл бұрын
They pretty much lied they're whole way into it, use big names which the healthier investors knew about.
@lohancindy54428 жыл бұрын
+Kenny Yoshitoya they didnt have to lie about anything. For the most part the rich are greedy and want in a big score. The wealthy see something risky that may make them a lot of money and they jump all over it. Ask bernie madoff. His clients loved the returns he made them. Bernie's clients were greedy and proud of it. And bernie was moby fucking dick and took them down

I know people praise this performance but I honestly don’t dig it. I think he’s great in Inception and Once upon a Time in Hollywood but whenever he and Scorsese work together it doesn’t seem right to me, Gangs of New York maybe being an exception but this role I just didn’t think he did a great job with, it was too overdone and contrasts too much with Scorseses style. I mean they like each other so they’ll keep making stuff together but I think Leo works best for a certain pocket of roles. I don’t think he’s as versatile as the crowd claims him to be
