The "silent close" is probably the most powerful close in the world. Without saying a word, you force the prospect to confront their own objection, and without having to rationalize with them they will get uncomfortable with the silence because they do not have an actual objection...and when they speak...you, the salesman, win.

If I learned one thing in sales, it was that it doesn't matter if you push something or you try to sell something to someone that they can't really afford or need, as long as you come off as a sincere person with your clients best needs at heart. It works even better if the product you're selling is actually a quality item that you feel confidently about but that feeling of trust is stronger than anything.

Classic when Jordan hangs up on the new client as he's saying goodbye to him lol. And to some of the comments here saying "this didn't happen" or didn't go on. It did. I saw it. Not now but def in the 80's to late 90's

When you are on the phone all day for your job, you jump off the phone when the call is over. I work a IT Help Desk job and I constantly hang up when people are in the middle of saying goodbye. Issues fixed, I've already said "have a good one" there is no need to stick around for the pleasentries.

This is very accurate as to how you do cold calling sales (telemarketing). I did this at 18 and really taught me how sales works.
